After calling multiple places I chose this shop for a smog because Sarany helped me over the phone and was polite and patient with me with my many qiestions! It was an easy go in and go out! Sarany was very accomodating, gave me assurance, and was kind throughout the whole process! I'm a girl and don't know much about cars but felt the honesty and sense of peace! He reminded me of a girl dad: patient, understanding, and caring! Thank you so much for all your help. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family!

Excellent service, I've had several repairs done at this shop on various vehicles. Don't try to drop your vehicle off on a weekend, they always say no, probably because their lot has limited space. I've always been happy with the repairs done here.

I strongly advise others to avoid this place. The owner displayed highly unprofessional behavior, including making offensive and disrespectful remarks about my country and religion. This is completely unacceptable in any business setting. Additionally, the pre-sale vehicle inspection was significantly overpriced. Despite remaining respectful on my end, the experience was deeply disappointing and troubling. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

Avoid like the plague. Took my car to fix some codes, because I didn't had the time or place to do it myself. The guys took the car, told me it was just the gas cap, charged me +$300 and told me it was fixed and I just need to drive the car now to eliminate the permanent codes from the system. 70 miles later, the check engine came back on, SAME CODES. Check it myself this time, and after 2 hours and less than $50 in JUST ONE part, the codes were gone, and passed smog inspection. They charged +$300 for replacing a gas cap, that's the first thing I did. They definitely will look for a way to rip you off. Look for a good & honest mechanic somewhere else, these guys just ain't. Update, 03/15/26. I do my own repairs and this is the only time I didn't. I know where I took it

I WAS a customer at this shop for years BUT THANK YOU to the smog guy who as rude this morning from the start. THANK YOU for wanting to talk AT me instead of to me You are definitely NOT a people person. Your communication skills are AWFUL!! I'm not even sure WHY you work in this line of business. It was MADE CLEAR to me from the START my business was NOT wanted. So I took my ELSEWHERE. If it wasn't for your LACK of professionalism, I would have NEVER found the smog shop in Imperial Beach. They even had coffee & snacks. And the price was less too. There are too many other smog shops around for you to have the type of attitude you have. I can tell you customers are not going to allow you to get away with your obnoxious behavior. They will do exactly like I did. Simply find another shop. There was NO way in HELL I'd allow you under the hood of MY car. The trust was broken. But NO WORRIES it ONLY got better after this GOD AWFUL encounter.

My husband had got some work done on his starter @ B&Js a few months back and since then the car has not been able to work as normal. Car starter issues has been ongoing and when requested for them to recheck the car, they tried to up charge 140$ just to have it looked at. That is not an efficient way to run business and customer service doesn’t seem to be the business’ concern. I spoke to Omar who gave me a hard time to even request the car be reevaluated and he blatantly yelled and reiterated that “who knows if the issue was due to their repair service”. I was appalled by their way of taking care of their customers. PLEASE Do NOT utilize their service. It’s not worth the hassle.
