Highly recommend Milbert’s — honest, fast, and fair I brought my car here after Pep Boys told me my taillight issue couldn’t be fixed and that I’d need to go to the dealership. The dealership couldn’t even get me in for weeks, and I was worried about inspection and getting pulled over. Milbert’s had me bring the car right in. They actually came out, looked at it, and immediately realized it wasn’t an LED assembly like I was told — it was just bulbs, with water trapped inside the housing. They drained it, fixed both taillights (turned out both sides were out), and didn’t replace any unnecessary parts. On top of that, they were able to do my state inspection on the spot. I was in and out in under 30 minutes, passed inspection, and got my new sticker the same day. Total cost was $58, and they didn’t even charge me for the taillight fix. They were upfront, explained everything, and even noted a plan in case it ever needs a replacement down the road. This is the kind of small, honest shop that’s hard to find anymore. They saved me a ton of money and stress. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending them to others.

I've been a customer since 2005 and I have always valued the work, the employees, and management. I trust them! They will not do work that is not necessary (I've been told that I can go another 5-7,000 miles before I would need to do my brakes or change my tires). I have never questioned a bill or any work done because I've always received a clear explanation of what's going on with my cars and what is needed and the cost beforehand. It's the only place I go to with my cars. I have had engine work, exhaust, filters, tires, brakes, rods, inspections...all done over the 20 years.

Milbert’s Car Care is a great place to service a vehicle. They will go the extra mile to make sure customers are satisfied. I would recommend servicing a vehicle here ten times out of ten.

There’s a reason Milbert’s has been so well-established for decades: their technical work and customer service is better than local competitors. After I bought my truck in 2019 I tried working with other service providers (4) and had mixed results. Sometimes the actual work was great but customer service was poor and vice versa. I called Milbert’s for the first time in 2023 and Ian impressed me right away with his willingness to provide counsel about a minor electrical issue I was having and his thoroughness in doing so. Since then my wife and I have only used Milbert’s with excellent results. Recently I experienced a cylinder misfire due to a worn out spark plug and made an enormous mistake going to another local service provider (a chain) to have it assessed and fixed. It was over the weekend and I was trying to be expedient. As soon as I got in the truck and turned the ignition the engine was misfiring again. Instead of potentially going back and forth with an incompetent business I just drove to Milbert’s, who ultimately discovered that one of the plugs was not installed properly. This experience is par for the course at other shops. Milbert’s fixed their work, Ian gave me a lot of information in the process, and now my truck is good as new. If you’re not sure where to go for automotive service I assure you that Milbert’s is the best option. They tend to be busy, which means you won’t necessarily get your car “in” the next day but that is a GOOD thing. It’s evidence that they do everything right and stand by their work. Also, their customer service manager Ian will bend over backwards to answer your questions, return your calls in a timely manner, and will keep things very real when giving advice. Milbert’s is a 5-star establishment and hopefully this review will encourage potential customers who are ambivalent to schedule an appointment.

We’ve used Milberts for several years, and they’ve always been consistent in the quality of their service. They’ve provided loaner cars when needed, and on the rare occasions we’ve had an issue after a repair, they had us bring the vehicle back in and fixed it at no charge. They even went above and beyond to help us after we bought a “lemon” from a local lot, the dealership initially refused to take the car back, but thanks to Milberts’ advice and documentation, we were able to get the dealership to reverse their decision and take the car back.

I had been on my way from Baltimore, MD to Chicago when my check engine light flicked on. I had already felt something wasn't right with my car, but had hoped it would keep kicking it. All signs pointed to MAF issues, but nothing I could do with my little knowledge could help. I luckily "ended" my trip around where family lives - and could spend time searching for a mechanic to help out while I was out of state. All mechanics I reached out to had lead times of a week or more - I was calling around a Thursday at midday - but Milbert's could see my car on the following Monday. While not ideal (neither is your car breaking down 300 miles from home), I felt confident this was the best choice. I went back to Baltimore on Saturday, leaving the car with them, and got a call back on Monday midday. They diagnosed the issue, gave me the cost, which was reasonable. We could pick the car up Tuesday. Tues comes around and after doing the fixes, it was masking issues with the catalytic converter. This also makes complete sense - and after some tests, womp womp, it's a dead horse. Milbert's worked with me to be able to figure out a solution to get my car back to Baltimore without breaking my bank or stealing my wallet. I picked up the car on Wednesday, and made it home overnight. I worked with Noah and Ian, both who were professional and considerate - really listening to my issues with the car and acknowledging things to disregard (like a known, but not critical, transmission issue). If they were in Baltimore, I'd be happy to have them as my mechanic - instead I can only recommend them to anyone reading this review!

My wife took her 2023 Ford edge to Milbert's this morning for emissions testing and inspection. This is my first interaction with Milbert's and will be my very last. They are the worst type of crooks in the automotive industry. They quoted my wife over $700 after taxes/fees for an inner tie rod replacement, and alignment. Milberts parts/cost breakdown (according to them) Over $150 for the inner tie rod, not specified as a kit or tie rod itself. And not even an OEM part. Probably some pot metal garbage. Almost $200 for the alignment. So you mean to tell me. You're going to charge around $300 for the labor on a job that calls for .9 hours!? Something I was able to do in my driveway in about 45 minutes? Highway robbery at it's finest. Now, here is the additional break down on what I paid for parts. And now getting it inspected elsewhere. OEM tie rod kit, inner rod, boot, clamps, jamb nut, and outter tie rod lock nut, from Shults Ford - $68 total. Like I stated, took 45 minutes to install. Alignment from NTB. $135. As stated before, highway robbery at it's finest. Luckily my wife has a husband that was an inspection mechanic for 15 years. The fact that you try to take advantage of customers like that is insane. Edit: To respond to Milbert's after my initial review. What isn't true? Please tell me where I'm mistaken that an OEM ford part cost me under $70? That my wife was quoted over $700 for an inner tie rod job? A job that bills 9/10ths of an hour according to repairpal and Alldata? Even if the part was $150 like you guys claimed, where is the other $300 in the job? Please tell me where I'm mistaken about being a mechanic for over 15 years? FOH with that nonsense, you can't prove me wrong. If you could, you would have in your response. But you didn't say anything to discredit what I said. You thought just becuase she is a woman, you could tell her some astronomically outrageous price. Thinking she would just pay it, because she had no other option. The job was also quoted from 3 other shops to be between a $375-$425 job. Including NTB in Monaca. You guys are crooks, and you can't tell me otherwise.

Re-Edit - I'm just leaving my honest and fair review, as that's what this portal is for. I reserve every right I have to make every statement I have, as they are all true. CUSTOMER BEWARE. EDIT: Left a two star originally, but the cocky response just sealed it. - Had work done specifically at Milberts Car Care done to two different cars. Last time I do that. I had to bring my car back to get RE-FIXED a second time for 'free' because they botched the ABS harness and still charged me for it. They didn't even acknowledge the fact that I requested a courtesy car for their mistake. But like I said - okay shop if you need something done in a pinch, just be ready to pay absolute top dollar. Had an issue with bolts being left in my 'washer well' (Wiper cowl) from their repair and never heard back from them about it.Those bolts cracked the inside plastic from being left in there from the repair. I'd also like to add that from the other reviews, it does seem they try to make you get work done that you do not need. Happened to both vehicles. I will not remove this review, as it was not an error. I
