Customer Reviews
Helpful and honest. Did a great job fixing my car’s issues.
Joe always has been able to squeeze me in last minute on and undoubtably has the best and most transparent pricing in pgh! highly recommend.
I've been going to Joe for years. He always takes great care of me. Honest, hard-working shop.
I had a car emergency while close to the rivers casino. This was the closest garage and upon arriving, I was greeted and helped immediately. Quick easy efficient and incredibly friendly. This place is amazing in a time of need.
My brakes were quickly becoming a liability to myself and society. Most places I called were booked out for months or were extremely pricey. Was eventually recommended to this shop. Called here at the end of their business hours and they told me to bring my car in the very next day to do a complete brake repair and inspection. They also replaced a broken sway bar in my car after noticing it, without a big upcharge. The prices were extremely fair and they were upfront with their estimates on the phone. Super happy with how easy the entire process was and will be returning any time my car needs work.
Most honest mechanics I’ve ever dealt with. They didn’t charge me extra, but still made little, easy fixes around my car that they noticed while fixing the main issue. Could have easily turned me away with my problem but promised to take a look, and they did right by me. Honest, dependable people as long as you’re honest with them too. Would recommend to anyone.
Joe and his team are really good at getting work done right and quick. Whenever I talk to anyone at the shop I feel like I'm talking to a neighbor. These guys are super friendly and honest. My review is not based on receiving any discounts or special perks. I've taken my car here twice. Once for struts and inspection February 2017. Most recently February 2018 for inspection, routers, brakes, oil change, and strut bolt replacement because of a pothole. I will be bringing my car back for future maintenance.
These guys are fantastic! I had never heard of their shop until my car started going crazy and I needed it fixed close by. Someone told me they were honest and I know that can be hard to find with mechanics. I called them at about 3:00 on a Friday afternoon and they were about to close up early but told me to come anyway. I drove over and they fixed it for me right there. They ordered and installed a new part in about 45 minutes. They let me use a new part the whole weekend so that I could have my car and told me not to pay but to come back the next week because they were going to try to find me a deal on a used part. I went in the next week and they said they would keep trying to find me a used part if I wanted one but I decided to stay with the new part. Then they gave me a deal on the new part and discounted the whole thing. I've never had a mechanic let me use a $150 part, try to find me a used deal and then not have me pay until 4 days later. Such good guys that go out of their way for you. I will definitely go back. I'm so happy they're so close by!!!
I initially went to my Mazda dealership for car service and state inspection. They called me to say my driving side tail light was chipped and would cost 800 dollars and then they can clear my car. I said no and asked them not to do the state inspection. However they did an emissions check. Then I brought the car to north side auto based on their google reviews. At first glance they seemed like two very sweet elderly gentlemen and said what a shame, they would have put a tape on it and cleared my car as the chipped off light was only a small break. So I asked them if they would do the inspection now. They said not without replacing the tail light now as the dealership may have reported it to Harrisburg. Then I asked them to replace the tail light and they said they would call me with the estimate after checking at different places or a parts shop. I was very grateful. They asked me how much the dealership charged and I honestly told them. They call me a day or so later saying they will do it for 500 dollars plus tax and then do the state inspection also. I ended up asking in Mazda Facebook group - ordered the part for 100 dollars on Amazon and fixed it myself. Then I called them for state inspection and they were very rude, refused and asked me to take it back to the place where they did emissions check. I don’t know if this is a rule but initially they had agreed to do the state inspection. Now I guess when they were not able to make enough money off me, refused and hung up when I tried to ask why they had agreed earlier and if this was a rule. Overall, for their unprofessionalism and the way they dealt with me over the phone, I am leaving them a 1 star review.
