About San Clemente ARCO Smog Check
The San Clemente ARCO smog shop (Anaheim-area listing) is a two-person, old-school California garage reviewers call iconic - Mansour adds $10 discounts unasked, coffee appears during tire-pressure chats, and STAR smog checks finish inside 20 minutes.
The old-school part cuts both ways: one would-be smog customer found the bay man on his phone, refusing work that day, and an oil-change price inquiry ended zero-star over internet-coupon math. Nostalgia with moods. California smog checks. Rated 3.7 across 55 reviews.

What can I said, I love the service and the old man running the business. Is a two person garage shop, old school
Such an atmospheric place full of kind people! Literally the way one imagines mechanic shop to be. Had my smog test in less than 30 minutes
Just got my Star smog check here. Mansour is very efficient and courteous. He added a $10 discount without my even asking. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. I also had a smog check done here 2-3 years ago with the same good experience. At that time they also fixed a tire that had a slow leak from a screw. Tire still running perfectly. I highly recommend their service.
Could this be the most iconic California auto shop in the OC? It beams with nostalgia. The shop is a montage of California life on the road. The staff are 'totally' laid back. Even if you are just here for fuel, take the time to look in on the auto shop. Awesome!
I pulled in there on a Monday to check my air tire pressure, they made coffee for me and we had a nice chat. I ended up coming back three days in a row and they fixed a bunch of little things on my beloved Prius.
Going to the outlet here is a good opportunity to take some photos of the coastal road; the scenery and environment are very pleasant.
They were open but said he wouldn't do my smog check today....just sitting there playing g on his phone
ZERO STARS! I asked the gentleman in the bay what the price is for an oil change. He quoted me roughly $60. When I asked about the internet coupon (at $35), he flipped his hand to shew me away and said,"get outta here. Why you ask me how much if you have this (pointing to my phone with the coupon.)? Go on! Leave!" I replied I wasn't sure if I was at the right Arco for this coupon and that's why I was asking. At which point he again told me to leave (go! Get outta here!) as he walked away from me. I replied..."it's no wonder why no one is here and all you bays are empty!" When did it become rude for the customer to ask how much something is??
