Great service! Do take note though: their prices are so low, if you pay with credit card they HAVE to charge extra for taking cards. Expect to pay with cash, unless you're willing to pay a few extra dollars to use a card. I can't ever blame a business for that. Their prices after a few dollars worth of fees is still better than most places around. They were quick, and accommodating. Would absolutely come back to do more work here, they're trying their absolute best to give you a good pricing to help you do what you need to do. Good place for a smog!!

Searching for honest work at a great price? Look no further than Smog Express! My old but decent running Ford passed, paid $34 with coupon price and I was done in 15 minutes! Caveats: I did call in advance to confirm year and make of car, bring copy of website coupon and BRING CASH! Easy peazy. I came late in the afternoon, no waiting. Wonderfully outstanding place which is the total opposite of the usual "transactional" business. Bill the owner has been serving the community for decades. The large garage/waiting area in the middle of a nice typical Laguna Niguel store complex is like a family lounge where you choose from many sofas or lovely soft chairs. His family and friends quietly hang out with him as he does the smog checks. Parking is plenty, and Bill works quickly yet efficiently. He is extremely friendly and generous, a man of good morals who always gives some kind of discount or can work with you if you wish to pay cash, or even if you're a little short on the cash. The reason he is so kind and thoughtful is because he is originally from Lebanon, where they know how to enjoy the little simple things in life. Someone could make a short documentary about his business of 40 years. It's like you're on vacation in a simple country for the short time there. This is a business that deserves our local support and was the best part of my registering my Connecticut car here in California. They deserve 10 stars. Best Smog shop within 20 miles. They have the best prices. I called 15 shops to compare. The owners are very kind and helpful.

Family owned, extremely nice people and very fair pricing. Was in and out very quick and the customer service was fantastic. If you’re in Aliso Viejo, this is the place to get your SMOG done!

Customers arriving at this location should be aware that if you have a luxury car, you will be upcharged for a smog check. My mom went to this location recently where she had previously had her Mercedes smog checked with no issues--and this time, she was informed that the price would be $45 despite having a 20-year-old car. There was no explanation given why they would not honor her coupon, but it appears from reading other reviews that luxury cars are profiled at this location. The economy is terrible and just because someone had a nice car decades ago does not mean they are rolling in it. I helped her find another coupon for a competing business where there was no issue and no extra work or time required for her car to pass.
