What a great please to do business. Work was completed in a timely manner. Great customer service. I will recommend this business to everyone. Next time I'm in town, I will be sure to stop back in.
Went here for an inspection sticker and they were quick and thorough about it, Usually when you go to other mechanics they try to make some money off of you somehow but not them! Great service 10/10
As a follow-up to my terrible service experience at the Taunton location on August 2nd, the general manager reached out and was able to not only make good on the terrible experiencewith kindness, empathy and understanding he was also supportive of his staff which is a delicate balance. I was able to get my receipt and make an address change in their system. They also pulled my vehicle in to vacuum, check fluids and wash the front and rear glass. I requested that my radiator also get serviced and walked to a local store with my son to keep him occupied. I was called promptly when service was completed. I returned only to find that the GM said to not charge me for the service. I was genuinely surprised and thankful. Thank you NB Speedee for your courteous service Thank you to the GM truly.
I love going to SpeeDee because the guys there are always so nice, honest & professional!! Craig even gave me the idea of cooking fresh string beans in bacon & potatoes!! Who knew that you could get culinary ideas & recipes from a car business!! Lol Thanks!
Got an oil change here a month or two ago. This week my engine was stalling and after going to the dealer discovered my engine had basically no oil left. Turns out they left the gasket loose (assumedly on purpose because I refused to have them change my cabin air filter, which they showed me had corn in it and put back into the car without even shaking the corn off after I said no ((not going to pay $100 for something that cost me 20 to easily replace on my own)). The dealer told me they have several stories of having to repair many cars after this particular speedee location messed up including one woman needing to replace her entire engine, which speedee refused to take responsibly for or pay for. I’m lucky I didn’t experience the same, but my engine will have lasting damage and I’m out $100 for their oil change, plus another $300 for dealership repairs. Avoid.
I brought my 2021 ram 1500 in for a transfer case fluid change. I called first to inquire because it takes special fluid. I was told they have most stuff and if not they could get it. When I pulled up they came out and asked what I was here for. I said I need my transfer case fluid changed they pulled it in and came out and said I was due for my front and back differential fluid too and quoted me the price for all 3. I signed and agreed. They finished working on the truck came out and said we couldn't do the transfer case because it's special fluid but we did the differentials. So they didn't do what I went there for but convinced me to do other work and then told me after the fact they couldn't do it. I wouldn't have had anything done at all if I knew this. I'm mad because I wasted time and money and called ahead of time to make sure this wasn't going to happen. I feel scammed. I go here all the time for oil changes and now they've lost a customer. Very disappointed.
Service was fast, then i realized it was because after i told them i didn’t need a new cabin air filter because mine was fine, they didn’t even put it back together. They left the cover for the compartment of the filter sitting on my dash board, the left the damper clip to make your glove box open slowly, sitting inside my glove box, i can understand the two above as i get it people are forgetful, but they also knocked off the drivers seat rail guard when adjusting my seat, and threw that in the glove box as well. that one isn’t an accident, if it wasn’t seen how did it end up in my glove box? Lastly when i was going to drive my car away, the person that worked on it said “i couldn’t figure out how to turn off your oil notification” so i said “it’s okay i can figure it out” to which he responded “Yeah i figured you could since you knew how to do everything else” passive aggressively. When i called later to complain about it, The manager was extremely nice to me and offered to put them back for me, i explained i already did and it was okay i just wanted them to be aware of what happened and what shape my car was left in. He replied “well i can give you a new cabin air filter for free”.i appreciate him trying to resolve the situation but im not letting anyone of them near my car again after the way it was left before. Update: After posting a review about my visit, the owner promptly responded, requesting that I email additional details, which I provided four days ago. I also sent a follow-up email yesterday, as I had not received a response. Unfortunately, I have yet to hear back. This lack of follow-up suggests that the initial response may have been intended to appease potential customers rather than address my concerns genuinely. Additionally, I felt pressured to accept unexpected upcharges during my visit and when i did not my car was treated terribly and not left in a good condition, and my attempts to raise these issues have not been acknowledged. Based on my experience, I would advise others to seek services elsewhere for oil changes or other automotive work, as the customer service and follow-through did not meet my expectations.
I recently went to SpeeDee for a routine inspection, expecting a straightforward experience. Instead, I was met with dishonesty and what can only be described as a scam. Despite the fact that my windshield wipers are practically brand new—my car is less than a year old—they failed me on my inspection and insisted I needed to replace them to pass. Not only was this completely unnecessary, but they also tried to sell me a pair of wipers for a ludicrous $60. That’s right, sixty dollars for something that didn’t even need replacing. It was made clear that if I didn’t agree to this ridiculous upsell, I’d have to pay for a failed inspection and take my car somewhere else. So essentially, they held my car hostage over a bogus claim. This isn’t just poor service—it’s manipulative and predatory. This kind of practice is exactly why people don’t trust mechanics. SpeeDee took advantage of their position to push a product I didn’t need, just to make a few extra bucks. Shameful behavior from a business that claims to be about honesty and speed. Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy being pressured, upsold, and ripped off.
