US Smog Check

Had a great experience at US Smog. Howard and the guy working there were both super friendly and helpful. I was in and out in under 30 minutes, super quick and easy. I’ll definitely be coming back for my future smog checks and would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent experience was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Grand total was 41 with online coupon. Howard was a very nice person.

The moment you start talking with Howard, the owner, you know that not only your conversation with him is going to be great, but you’ll also have a great day for sure! This is an insightful man, extremely knowledgeable about his job and the World! If you need a SMOG CHECK or anything else at a great price and fantastic service, this is the place to go to!

I called ahead and talked to Howard about a smog check. He said he could get it done in 20 minutes. Being the skeptic I am, I thought it would take way longer. Boy was I WRONG. In and out in less than 15 minutes. $41 dollars with the online coupon, which is better than anywhere else in town. Howard talked to me about next steps in getting my registration renewed (which I knew but appreciated anyway). I asked him about other services and the price of an oil change -- he answered and even went into the type of oil they use. Seriously, I can't believe the bad reviews about this place. Not my experience at all. The guys are nice but straight to the point -- you're not going to get some corporate fake talk or some customer service dance from them.

Used the coupon that was on their website and got a $41 smog. Easy in and out in like 15 minutes. They were patient and kind, especially Howard. He seems to just love his job and chatting with people

Saw the coupon price of $29.95 but don't expect that's what you are going to pay. If your car is not ready after a repair they will smog your car and charge you full price. They charged $50 then were going to charge another $50 after the car was ready to do it all over again. They should have known this. Once the tech knew I was on to them he slammed down the report and was very unprofessional. We got this accomplished at a reputable place. Be very aware of their advertised pricing and policies.

I called this location in the morning and asked what the price would be for my Honda Accord. I was told $41 after the license and fee. I proceeded to show up 1 hour later to the location and was quoted $61 and was told its a STAR location so its only a $10 discount. I decided to leave because this is poor business practice and they blatantly lie over the phone hoping you will just accept it in person. I highly suggest you go somewhere else for any/all car needs.

Would not honor the coupon price for out-of-state registration. Went to EZ Auto Test in Santa Ana instead. $35 with certificate and no nonsense from the man who took forever to do the paperwork.

This smog check place is very misleading. They advertise a $29 coupon, but when you arrive they tell you that your car will "most likely need a STAR certification," so the price suddenly becomes $60. At that point you've already spent time driving there, so many people just agree and pay. It feels like a bait-and-switch tactic to get customers in the door. Very dishonest business practice. I would not recommend this place.

⚠️ Warning: Avoid this shop ⚠️ I strongly advise people to stay away from this mechanic shop. They are dishonest with their work and cannot be trusted. They replace car parts with old or used ones, then charge you for new parts that were never installed. In many cases, they bill for work they did not actually perform. The workers, including the owner Howard (also known as Hamid), are extremely unprofessional. Instead of treating customers with respect, they insult and argue. The owner in particular is very impolite and dismissive of customer concerns. If you value your car, your money, and your peace of mind, take your vehicle elsewhere. This place is not run with honesty or professionalism.
