We’ve trusted this shop with both our commercial and personal vehicles for the past three years, and they have been excellent every time. They are professional, honest, and genuinely trustworthy — which is exactly what you want in an automotive shop. I really appreciate that they explain what needs to be fixed, how urgent it is, and what can reasonably wait, without ever making you feel pressured. Their pricing is fair, their work is reliable, and their reputation speaks for itself. There’s a reason the lot is always full!

This place is the absolute best. Went above and beyond with all the cars I’ve brought them - always making sure I was getting the best possible service at the best possible rate. And the just friendliest guys ! Without a doubt the best mechanic I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. If fact, maybe the best customer experience Ive ever had. There simply aren't enough stars available here for this review. This place offers next-level kind of service. George greeted me when I walked in the door- there was likely a look of terror/horror on my face! I had just been to the dealership up the road for my car and I thought for sure I'd have to take out a small loan to cover the costs of the repairs. He must have sensed my distress! His genuine kindness and concern won me over right away, and I felt better even before we'd talked about the car issues, of which there were plenty. From start to finish, George was responsive, professional and best of all, fair. He talked me through every charge to help me understand what was needed and never, and I mean NEVER, did I feel as though I was getting the run around or being overcharged. Being a woman with limited knowledge about cars often puts me at a disadvantage, and in the past I have paid way more than I should have simply because I didn't know which questions to ask. At this shop, I didn't feel they were trying to push repairs on me that weren't needed. I will never again take my car to the dealer and will always come to Alewife Auto. The fact that they are a family run business seals the deal for me- nowadays small businesses need all the support they can get. If you are reading this, and you are wondering if this is the right place for your car, DON'T HESITATE. You will not be disappointed!

Alewife Automotive is awesome. They’re extremely honest and only recommend what truly needs to be done — nothing more. I trust them completely. On a few occasions, they’ve helped me out when time was of the essence, and they came through without hesitation. Great guys. I recommend them without reservation.

Took my truck in the week before driving cross country. I had no issues for the entire 3k mile trip and it is still running great! They replaced the ball joints in the front and did an alignment. Price came in 20% less than I thought it would. They didn’t upsell like most places do. Excellent service!

I was hesitant to bring my car anywhere, having dealt with previous bad experiences, but my colleague could not recommend Alewife Automotive more and now I know why. The team is hospitable, knowledgeable and empathetic in their approach and took their time with my car, going above and beyond to identify the root cause of an issue and resolve it. I was in a tight spot, out of oil and concerned there may be engine damage based a code that came up. I am SO GLAD I came to Alewife. George helped me out, he was incredibly kind and helpful both over the phone and in person. Answered any and all of my questions, he clearly is very knowledgeable. He not only changed my oil but double checked to make sure the car was completely safe to drive. Never once tried to upsell me or convince me that I needed more repairs than I did. The cost of the oil change was more than fair. I will never take my car anywhere else and I can't recommend Alewife, and particularly George, highly enough.
