Big Al's Auto and Exhaust is exactly what a local business should be. It's rare, these days, to find a shop with as much character and an "Old School" approach to service. Finding a dependable mechanic these days can be tough, but these folks truly care about the people in their community. They went above and beyond to help me out when I was in a difficult spot with my vehicle. They were honest about what needed to be done and made me feel completely taken care of. 5 stars isn't even enough! I'm so grateful for their help and you can bet I won't be taking my business anywhere else. I highly recommend Big Al's to anyone looking for reliable auto repair. I scheduled catalytic converter replacement with Big Al's and was very pleased with the service and people. It definitely has a family run feel. Andy, Becca and Scott treated me like I was a regular customer (it was my 1st visit). When I picked up my vehicle near the end of the day, I noticed a noise issue as I drove away. When it repeated, I pulled over and called back to Big Al's just a few minutes before their closing time of 5:30 p.m. Andy asked me to come back and he would take a look at it. He and Scott stayed after their closing time and located / fixed the issue. Andy said there was no charge since the issue should have been caught when they did the initial work. I finally pulled out of their parking lot just after 6:00 p.m. It's not very often that I experience that kind of treatment from a business anymore. I highly recommend working with Big Al's for any type of vehicle work that you need done. You will be very glad you did!
Not a place I intended to use, but on a long trip across I80 my muffler/exhaust broke. They were amazingly helpful to get me in right away and fixed me up for a much better price than I expected! Not only that, but they also identified a pre-existing issue that another shop in Texas allegedly looked for for a whole week without finding. But Matt found it and told me what and when I needed to get it looked at. Couldn't say enough about the great folks at Big Al's. Thank you!!!
2013 Jeep Wrangler full LS swap they were able to handle this job got all the exact parts,The customer wanted I think it turned out great. They were able to custom bend and fit exhaust in places. It wasn’t designed to go fair pricing great communication. Another great thing they made it carb compliant for Colorado
Big Al’s is the best automotive company I’ve ever been to they are reliable and friendly. I highly recommend anyone to come visit for vehicle inspection, maintenance or repairs. Keep up the great work.
Our catalytic converter was stolen in CA from our RV. We are from Fl and only needed a Federal Converter. We were recommended to them by family. We set an appt out several weeks. When we got to Cheyenne WY, we decided to have them do several other repairs and services that the RV needed. They were nice to work with and very accommodating. We highly recommend them. Took my vehicle in for an oil change and for it to be inspected due to my vehicle stalling and shutting off randomly. They had to leave my car on for some time and let it run to see if it would shut off. (Reproduce the problem) If it shut off, it would potentially throw a code so they could diagnose the issue. Understandable. I’d be willing to bet they didn’t stand there waiting for it to stop for 21/2 hrs. No solution to the problem was found since it decided to stay running. I was charged appropriately for the oil change. Total bill was 450.00. I personally wouldn’t feel right charging someone 450 and they come out with an oil change and no solution to the problem. My guess is they left it running and did other work in the meantime. I understand labor costs but not in this situation. Should have kept my vehicle home. Don’t believe I’ll be back.
I was working on my Toyota solara and brought in my steering knuckle to have a new bearing and hub installed. They said it would be a short turnaround time and they proceeded to take the whole day to get to it finally got it back 30 minutes before they closed when I had dropped the part off at 9 in the morning. Safe to say I will never go back here or recommend them to anyone.
