About Cason Emissions Testing Center
Cason Emissions Testing Center (Atlanta) runs five-minute emissions tests - Gabriel is the recurring name, hooking cars up fast and politely. Most visits are in-and-out with no hassle.
The experience depends heavily on who's working, per one regular, and a first-timer's closer-to-home experiment went badly enough to send them back to their 30-minute drive shop. Georgia emissions. Rated 4.4 across 154 reviews.

Great experience! The staff was friendly, professional, and got my emissions test done quickly. The process was easy, and I was in and out in no time. Highly recommend!
Always a great experience when the time comes to have to take this test. When you study and you're prepared you will always succeed. It's not like it is rocket science, just the simple basics of being a owner of a vehicle. And the guys here at Cason emissions are the guys to give you that pass. Simon and Gabriel are pros at what they do and are always happy to see me.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Gabriel did an amazing job. Less than 5 minutes flat. No hassles no problem. Fast and friendly. Why go somewhere else?
The guy doing the testing was super nice. It was fast and easy. I'd definitely come back.
Very friendly, very professional, very quick. I’ll be back next year
I highly recommend this place to test your vehicle. I was surprised we didn't have to wait much on a Saturday afternoon. The technician was so welcoming and friendly, he was clear giving the instructions and made the process smooth. He had some difficulties with the printer but never lost his patience and handled it in a professional way. This will be my place to test my car every year.
4 minute emission test. Fast and efficient. Don’t have to get out of the car. Accepts credit cards. Easy to find. Has a waiting area.
This was my first time at this place. I decided to give it a try because I wanted something closer to home instead of driving 30 minutes to my usual spot. When I arrived, a man signaled me to move forward. I greeted him politely, but there was no response. The only thing I heard was him telling me to turn on the car. Despite that, I still thanked him courteously. Personally, I appreciate when a business welcomes customers with a friendly attitude—it makes me want to return. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here, and I doubt I’ll be coming back. The only positive thing I can say is that the service was fast. However, if you plan to come here, make sure to bring patience and a good attitude. It’s a shame that the owners don’t realize that some employees might be driving customers away.

I have had vastly different experiences here depending entirely on who is working. Gabriel is a super nice guy and very polite. He hooked me up to one machine which ended up giving me CEL/christmas tree on my dash. Decided to clear it and drive for a bit but still failed readiness cause I didn't drive long enough (my fault). I still tipped Gabriel with a fail cause he was extremely understanding and accommodating. Went back for my free retest a week later and there was another technician whose name starts with a "J" (don't remember full name) who is incredibly hostile and unprofessional. During a recent visit, I politely asked to use a specific testing lane because their other machine had glitched out on my car's computer previously. Instead of just answering the yes or no question, "J" launched into a five-minute tirade. He berated me, blamed my car for their broken equipment, and baselessly accused me of tampering with my vehicle. Ironic that he also said I was wasting his time by asking that question before going into his rant... shouldn't have to endure a hostile lecture just to get a state emissions check. I left, went straight to Ozone Emissions, and passed with zero issues... Avoid this location if "J" is working the machines. J was a slightly overweight, black male if that helps, I do not recommend testing with him if possible. No regrets not getting my free retest, and I will NOT be coming back to this center again, despite my excellent experience with Gabriel.
