About Emissions Plus

Jake is the reason Emissions Plus keeps its Utah customers - he remembers you from the year prior, puts the stickers on the car himself, and stays transparent about everything, including helping your mom months apart. Tests happen without leaving the car, around $40 reported, and 1995-or-older late models get handled properly.

One rude Saturday counter interaction and a West Jordan price-fixing allegation from a local - the day-to-day service record is otherwise strong. Rated 4.5 across 370+ reviews.

Reported smog check price: $40.00. Prices can change; call to confirm.

Emissions test was flawless and quick! The tech was thorough and efficient. Highly recommend for those of whom need emission for late models 1995 or older.

Been to this place twice now, and have had a great experience both times. The guy that works there (Jake) even remembered me from the year prior and knew I was late getting my new sticker simply from memory, hadn't even looked at my plate yet, which I found impressive and comical. He was easy to chat with, quick, efficient, friendly and professional. Really like that I don't even have to get out of the car too.

Didn't even have to get out of my car. The guy was super nice, down to earth, knowledgeable. He even put my stickers on my car for me. Will definitely go back.

Jake was so helpful and honest. I really appreciated how transparent he was with me. They did a great job helping my Mom a couple months ago as well. I definitely recommend this place.

First off I just want to say that Jake is amazing and a wonderful human being. My car is making this horrible noise and and I have an appointment scheduled but that's in a few days and he was able to tell me what the issue was based off the sound and prove it by taking a picture and showing me the huge hole in my muffler. Also is very efficient and fast with his service and has great customer care. We need more people like him in the world. Thanks Jake. You were my Saint today. So much appreciation

I went in on a Saturday around 1:30 PM, and the person at the counter was extremely rude. I simply asked a question, and instead of helping me, he replied by asking if I knew how to read the sign. It was disrespectful and completely unprofessional. Good customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately, that was not the experience I had here. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place based on how I was treated.

CONSUMER ALERT! In West Jordan there is an inflated price fixing monopoly between emission testing stations. Specifically, EMISSIONS PLUS and BATEMANS. These stations are $20 higher than reputable emission facilities around the valley. Both business charge $60 for older vehicle emission testing for cars made before 1996 and $45 for newer cars when other centers, like CURT'S EMISSION AND CAR WASH, charge only $40 for older vehicles and $35 for newer. So don't get ripped off. Shop around. There is a lot better choices out there.

During the service, they broke my dipstick—and then tried to blame the damage on the “last person” who worked on my car. But I’m the only one who’s ever serviced it, so I knew they were lying. Rather than let them touch it again, I decided to fix it myself. When I finally got around to replacing the broken dipstick, I discovered they hadn’t just damaged it—they’d swapped it out entirely. The dipstick they left in my car wasn’t even the right one. It had a different lid cap and clearly belonged to a different vehicle. It looks like they used a dipstick from their own car or someone else's. Now that I’ve confirmed this, I’m reviewing the security footage and preparing to hire a lawyer. This kind of negligence—and dishonesty—is unacceptable.
