I spoke to Andrea on the phone for help figuring out information for my work vehicle and emissions from being out of state. Extremely professional, soothing to talk to after a rough technical day. I drive less than 1,000k a year so I use this facility to exempt me from Missouri emissions requirements. The only thing they ask is for my current and prior safety inspection and they mail me the exempt forms in the mail. This is great for drivers like myself who rarely travel and the staff are more than willing to help if I had any questions.

Just called about emission exemption since veh only 2 yrs old w 30,000 mi. Super nice & informative. She would send me paperwork but I opt to just go to SoCo & do it there. No fee. They are tied into State computers so can go get plate renewal rt away or do it on line. Refreshing to deal w nice, professional, knowledgeable person. I had just gone by Schicker Ford Fast Track & their only emissions guy called off today & no one mentioned about exemption for newer low-mileage cars?

Staff was friendly and helpful. I got my emissions test exemption by requesting over the phone. Support assistant Jackie responded to my emails promptly.

Could not have been a better experience. I had questions about the low-mileage exemption for the emissions test. After calling a few inspection stations near me and the License Office I was getting wildly conflicting information about what I needed. I discovered this office among my Google search results and I called. Finally someone knew what they were talking about! I went there to have my odometer read and file for the exemption. I was in and out in minutes. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. My local repair shop charges $12 just to read the odometer and write it down (an ID/OD). GVIP does this for free.

If you want to reduce emissions, try finding a way so 8+ vehicles don't have to idle for hours waiting to get an inspection!
