About Girls Auto Clinic Repair Center

Girls Auto Clinic outside Philadelphia was built for women tired of condescending service counters, and the reviews say it delivers: upfront about what's needed versus optional, free manicures while you wait (some don't even have time to use them), and used-car purchase checks done thoroughly. State inspection plus oil change inside two hours is a typical visit.

The membership program has loyal long-distance travelers. One reviewer blames their master mechanic for new problems after major work, so big repairs deserve the same scrutiny you'd bring anywhere. Rated 4.5 across 810+ reviews.

Such an easy booking process and the most friendly staff! Went for an oil change and was out within the hour, so I didn’t have time to use the free manicure I was offered for my first visit (but will definitely do so next time). They also checked out my car for other issues and recommended future repairs but never pushed anything onto me like other shops tend to do. Even the waiting experience was nice - they have plenty of space to sit and relax/work. Chose this spot for the queer friendly reviews and was not let down! Coupon on their website saved me $25 too :)

I had a great experience at Girl Auto Clinic! I recently bought a used car and asked them to perform a vehicle purchase check so I could assess if anything needed to be serviced or fixed before I started driving for work. Once they finished on the car, they gave me a thorough read out of the condition of the car, answered all my questions, and told me when they recommended changes for oil, brake pads, etc. I'm also able to access the report online and see when I'm due for certain services. Everyone was super nice and they had a large, comfy, beautiful space to wait while my car was being worked on. This was super important to me because previous car repair places I've been to always have little to no waiting area. They even had free snacks, coffee, and water which is always a plus. I'll definitely be back when I need to have my car serviced in the future!

I finally found my forever mechanic! The women here are all absolutely phenomenal - they’re upfront about what repairs are needed, what’s optional, and how much everything costs. I’ve never had such a great experience taking my car in. They also offer memberships to help save you money on maintenance in the long run. Not to mention their lounge area is actually relaxing, and you can get a manicure while you wait for your car!

I’m a proud VID member and my most recent visit reaffirmed why I travel the distance that I do for their service. Not only were they super helpful in securing the part my car needed, they also walked me through affordable payment options and the pros/cons of each; did their best to accommodate my schedule; and, while my car was being serviced, brought the old part out to educate me on all that I needed to know about it. I left truly feeling more educated and empowered as driver and car owner.

Swore off going to dealerships for repairs after a terrible experience last year. Did research on alternatives and found Girls Auto Clinic. So thankful this place exists!! Very friendly and knowledgable staff. I love their system of approving or not approving recommended repairs. Prices are reasonable and I never feel like i’m getting ripped off. As long as I live in the area i’ll come here for all my mechanic needs. I’d rather give my $$ to a woman-owned business than a dealership full of ppl trying to take advantage of my naiveté when it comes to cars any day 💕

The only place I trust with my car! Where do I even start? I am a new customer and my dear friend recommended me to try Girls Auto Clinic. It was an incredible experience. Sandi was my advisor and the technician did a great job with my oil change needs. I received a complimentary manicure and was handled with so much care. Magnolia was professional, warm, and gave me tips on taking care of my natural nails. After my car was done, Sandi updated me about my car, its health, and gave me thorough education around my car’s maintenance. I asked all of the questions and she answered every one of them. I did not feel uneasy or skeptical about the recommendations. The owner and staff were all amazing and talked to me about upcoming workshops. I’m now hooked and can’t wait to get my car baby some tender love and care!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH 👠

Got my state inspection and an oil change, done in less than 2 hours. Super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable staff! Plenty of spots to wait if you choose to stay on site, including free wifi, light refreshments, and light snacks. I didn't utilize the beauty salon, but I look forward to it next time!! They were happy to answer my questions and be patient with me (I'm still new to PA and needed some extra help remembering the process and getting the right documents) and seemed to be honest about any upcoming recommendations. Very affordable compared to some other shops in West Philly that have over charged me in the past. Will be back, thanks so much!!

This is not your ordinary shop! It's so much more! This trailblazing shop has females running the show! You can get your car worked on while getting your nails done too! The employees work very hard to get your car done quickly and they care about the quality of their work. The warranty on their work is one of the best in the industry. There are perks with choosing this shop over others. Their VID subscription allows you to take the worry off of your mind about your future maintenance. Girls Auto Clinic offers workshops on the weekends to help women learn the basics of cars in a safe environment. The community is quite positively impacted by this shop! Don't take my word for it - come see for yourself how great this place and the people are! You will be impressed - promise!

TLDR; don’t take your car here for more than an oil change. Ed the “master mechanic” will cause problems you didn’t have prior to coming in and refuse to take accountability. He’s clearly out of his depth skill wise and can’t handled being questioned by women. The customer service was atrocious and I’ve already reported them to the Better Business Bureau Bureau. First of all I love the mission and idea of this shop. I found it on social media and chose to bring my car in twice within about 2 1/2-3 months totaling around $3000 worth of work. The first time went fine. The second time was a train wreck. I brought my car in for an oil change, replace a turn signal, and diagnose and fix my air conditioning. In hind sight communication issues began almost immediately. The car was dropped off on jul 23 I didn’t hear anything until about an hour before close when they texted me telling me they’d need to keep it over night. Next day some thing no information until a text before close saying they would need to keep it over night again and saying they’d update me in the morning. I waited all morning the next day no update. I called and asked for an update and they asked to get back to me. Again no update. I started calling more frequently. Finally I was able to get an update. They were struggling with the work and had to entirely take apart my drivers side — steering column and all — so it was taking a little while. All said and done my car was picked up 7/26 at close. Here’s where the real issue began. My steering wheel is now entirely unaligned. Picture attached of me stopped at a light going straight no turn to my tires. I didn’t have any issues like this prior to pick up. They were closed Sunday so I contacted them Monday. They scheduled me to come in Friday 8 am to fix the issue. I get my appointment confirmation the Tuesday before. They’re trying to charge me $150 for the problem they caused. Called again spoke to some people and got it corrected. The day before my Friday appointment I get a text requesting to reschedule for Saturday to drop my car off. This isn’t what we agreed to. We discuss a bit and we agree to a 10 am scheduled appointment for an alignment on Saturday. I bring my car in Saturday and issues start immediately. Ed the mechanic refuses to accept responsibility for his shoddy work. He claims it’s “normal for the wheel to be a little off”. That’s not a little off. He said he couldn’t fix it until maybe Monday or Tuesday. I had an appointment for an alignment at 10 am today, so why not until Monday or Tuesday? “This was only an evaluation appointment” then why was I leaving my keys and car with you? No real answer to that but he huffed off leaving my car on and door open. Okay. We go into look at the calendar. Nevermind I can’t do anything until Wednesday. This is a problem entirely created by Ed the mechanic why are you not trying to correct your mistake? His answer is he did me a favor by fixing my air conditioning. No I payed you for a service and you returned my car with an issue you caused. In the end Ed refused to correctly his mistake and I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
