Came in for motorcycle inspection, open on a Saturday and was very fast and easy. Will be a repeat customer.

Been coming here for over 25 years, Roy is fair and honest, great guy, great mechanic!

Roy gave great service. Went for an oil change and to fix my tire. Got it done in a timely manner, good price, and while cracking jokes the whole time. Definitely recommend this shop.

We brought our car to Roy because the engine light went on and the car was shaking. Contrary to what another rater said, Roy absolutely knows how to read the mileage and knows how to do diagnostics. He was right on the mark as to what was wrong with the car. We brought it in on a Saturday close to when he was going to close shop but he waited for us to get there. He did a preliminary diagnostic then. We had the car back that coming Monday by around noon. The car is running beautifully. Another rater noted that Roy advertised 24 hours. I don't see anywhere that Roy advertised 24 hours. Note that he has been in business for over 30 years.

Roy was super knowledgeable and kind. I called last minute, and his nephew answered right away—offering to take care of me the same day! Roy did a thorough inspection and let me know my brakes were a bit low. It’s rare to find a mechanic you trust, and Roy is definitely one of the good ones. Big thanks to Roy and his nephew for the great service! Highly recommend!

The owner, Roy, is an honest and hardworking mechanic who loves his job and treats each car and customer with care and respect. His turnaround time on work is very good, usually repairs on my '04 Jeep have been done same day, or the next day if the job was a big one. I highly recommend this shop.

I want to be very fair in this review, so let me share exactly what Triple R Auto Repair offered me: The repair work was creative — in the sense that the problems my car left with were entirely different from the ones it arrived with. I can only assume this is their signature upselling strategy: fix nothing, create something new. The owner was also very communicative. Enthusiastically so, in fact — just not in words I’d feel comfortable repeating in a public forum. I now know a remarkable number of new phrases. I did not ask to learn them. As for pricing, I appreciated the premium experience. It was priced noticeably above every other shop I later consulted — all of whom, interestingly, also told me the original work had not been done correctly. I have since found a mechanic who speaks in complete, civil sentences, charges reasonable rates, and actually fixes cars. The contrast has been educational. I cannot in good conscience recommend Triple R Auto Repair. But if you enjoy paying more to be spoken to poorly and leave with unresolved problems, this is genuinely the place for you. You will not find better at this particular combination of qualities anywhere else on Long Island.

whatever you do please stay far away from here!!! Today 1/03/26 I took my car for an inspection. Prior to today had no service lights on much less the check engine. Once there he didn’t even know how to check my car mileage , didn’t know what a tint exemption was either and once he got started to connecting my car to his diagnostic machine he gave me my car back with the check engine light on… mind you I asked him multiple times how that even happened or what it even was to fix it and he proceeded to tell me the machine wouldn’t tell him. I took my car elsewhere where they told me he in fact damaged my ECM/PCM connector and thanks to him I had to pay close to 1k. Now looking at his reviews I see he’s done this before.
