My experience at A&J automotive was spectacular. I came in for my inspection and they offer a complimentary car health report. In the report there were some minor issues. I spoke with Carter and he reassured me that these repairs were minor and something to consider in the future. Never felt that they were pushy about me doing the repairs. In our conversation about next steps I realized that I still had warranty on my car and he had expressed confidence in working with the company and provided me with a loaner vehicle until my car would be ready. I dropped my car off on a Wednesday and by Friday the repairs were completed. This whole process was smooth, clear communication and they made me feel comfortable moving forward with those repairs. The waiting area was clean and plenty of seating and was offered refreshments. A&J has great customer service and would recommend them to everyone.

I would highly recommend this auto shop any day! I called and spoke with Travis about having brakes and rotors checked on my truck. He advised to bring it in the next day and they would take care of it. I also advised him of other issues/concerns that I had and he told me that would take care of that as well. Service was completed same day and Travis kept me posted/informed every step of the way. Customer service was awesome and pricing was extremely reasonable! I’ve found my new auto shop! I found my new mechanic! A & J Automotive delivered outstanding customer service when I needed my brakes repaired. They were able to fix my brakes while I waited. Offered coffee and drinks and had a private work area to use. Travis was a great communicator and very knowledgeable about his industry. I was really impressed with this shop. They are now my go to mechanic.

I'd like to start by saying customer service these days is almost non existent in so many places. I think a company can set themselves apart with excellent customer service. Which is exactly what I received from Travis at A&J. We were buying a car for our son while living two hours away (Wilmington) and I wasn't feeling great about the dealership but the carfax was impeccable. The dealership we were working with was a nightmare but after three weeks of tirelessly searching for a safe car I didn't want to walk away from this specific car. I found A&J Automotive based on reviews and within seconds of speaking with Travis I knew why they came highly recommended. My favorite thing about my conversation was the transparency. He was very open about the process and the cost. When we arrived with the car (a BMW X3) Travis was extremely honest and very reluctant to recommend this car for our teen based on the high cost of repairs. He was a great source of information. He explained the cost of the inspection and even gave us an opportunity to cancel our appointment and walk away before they proceeded. After the inspection came back, he was happy with the results and talked with us at length about them and made us feel so much better about purchasing the car. They gave us an extremely thorough inspection report which I have referenced many times. We went back to the dealer to purchase the car and some things came up along the way that made us question it. Again, my husband was able to call Travis with questions and he helped answer some questions the dealer couldn't even explain. I wish A&J was local to us because I would use them exclusively. Raleigh is lucky to have such a great place!

A&J automotive is an awesome repair shop. This was my third time there with a different vehicle each time. Diagnostic is quick and easy to understand. I have never been pressured into getting work done that wasn't necessary. They're fast, reliable and affordable. Will definitely do business with them again

A&J stands out as an exceptional automotive service provider. When I took my car in for service, I was pleasantly surprised by the comprehensive breakdown and diagnostic process. The service center even provided me with video and picture documentation of the diagnostic findings. Additionally, they offered me a loaner vehicle for Labor Day weekend, allowing me to commute conveniently while my car was undergoing repairs. Thank you.

I have had nothing but great experience’s at this particular location, I really like the way they present everything to me at one time and give me the option to pick and choose the repairs that work for my budget on my 2015 Toyota sienna. They also always fix it right on the first visit and they also have loaner vehicles, so I can still go about my day while my vehicle is being repaired and pampered. Oh and they updated the waiting area and it looks amazing compared to other repair shops that I have visited in the past. I snapped a few pictures before leaving the other day. Thankyou A&J for your awesome service and clean facility.

Overall, it was a great experience with A & J Automotive. The only issue I had was the amount of time it tokk to completet the repair. Dropped the car off on Friday for an 8 AM Appointment, but the diagnostics were not even run until the following Monday. Repair/replacement of the thermostat was completed in the afternoon on Tuesday. Price was in the range expected for this repair, and the technician took the time to show me the failed parts and explained why the part failed. I understand the reason for the delayed repair was because of a staff shortage, where they could not keep up with the amount of business. Staff were friendly and kept me informed throuout the process. A courtesy loaner was provided to me while my vehicle was being repaired. Thanks A& J Automotive. Well done!

On 5/6/26 I had a new fuel and vacuum pump installed, new crankcase vent valve, transmission filter/fluid, induction service, oil change. Car is running fine. Their workmanship is good. ....overall a very pleasant experience, kept me informed, courteous. I give a low rating because prices for the parts they used are high, sometimes double what you can buy for the part elsewhere. I search online for the specific part/brand name they used and so many sources listing far lower prices. And they are buying wholesale! Online pricing I see is retail..... A&J is owned by Main Street Auto headquartered in Atlanta. The company owns and operates over 116 local auto repair shops. I think we are better off going to locally owned/operated engine shops. The ones I've used frequently shop for parts to get me the best price. A&J could have done that and did not.

Scam artist. The upper management of this location are thieves and liars to get your money. I put AC charger in my car that I was told was the right charge by auto zone. I had placed the empty cab in the back of my pickup truck along with 2 other cans that I put in my car. They claimed that after looking over the car and placing it on their machine it was discovered that I had the wrong Freon. Well, that would be cool if when I asked what’s the proper Freon they told me exactly what I put into it. Apparently they seen the empty cans and I guess they thought that’s what I put in my car. When I pointed out that the mechanics must have assumed those empty cans were mine and that I’m certain I put the right ac charger in it. The owner or manager than says, well that’s what the machine said…….,. I wanted to call the police but I realized this location is just scamming people who have no knowledge out of their money. Don’t go here take your money somewhere wiser than this scam. DON’T GO HERE, THEY WILL GET YOU!!!!!! P.S. they didn’t do anything to fix it since I’ve left this review accept trick the people who read this as if they did. Well, if the review is still the same that means the wrong has not been corrected.
