About Air Team Vehicle Emissions Testing Station - Lincolnshire
Lincolnshire runs a smaller Air Team operation - three bays, two cars per bay - and it still moves: third-in-line customers report being out within 15 minutes, and a Monday 5:33pm arrival hit no wait at all. Emissions test and plate sticker in one stop is the standard errand here.
Their own website warns against Saturdays, and reviewers back that up with stories of lines nearly to the street on weeknight evenings. Weekday afternoons are the reliable window. The rare one-star review is about an individual rude tester, not the process. Rated 4.6 across 2,000+ reviews.

I got there at about 5:33PM on a Monday (headed there right after I finished work) and there was no wait. The three lanes had a car in each one, but any lane I pick I was next in line. The gentleman I had was super nice and efficient. I also bought my license plate sticker right around the corner after I passed the emissions test. The whole process took under 15 minutes. I honestly think it just depends on your luck if it is a busy time or not. This is the location I go to each time I need emissions testing done and luckily it has been a good experience each time.
I had an excellent experience at Air Team Vehicle Emission. They offer both the emission test and license plate sticker service in one place, which makes the whole process incredibly convenient. The center is very well organized, and I was able to complete the emission test and get my sticker within minutes totally hassle‑free. The staff at both counters are fast, attentive, and keep the line moving smoothly. Even if the queue looks long, you’ll be done in 2 to 10 minutes. Honestly, this feels better than the online service because you get your sticker immediately instead of waiting for delivery. You just need to travel to the location, but if you want same‑day service, this is the best option.Highly recommended for quick, efficient, and stress‑free service.
It took me longer to get to this location coming from Wisconsin, but I was in and out in about 20 minutes. No line, Easy peasy and my car passed as always! The staff were friendly and proficient. Thank you!
It was really quick & easy. Maximum wait time was 5 mins. This was on a Wednesday afternoon. They mention on the website to not come on Saturdays as the wait time is long. I wish I didn't procrastinate till last min to get this done lol. I didn't realize it was this easy.
I pulled up at 5:30pm on a Monday after a long day, probably like everyone else including the employees at Air Team. Looong line. Almost to the street. Only 1 lane open due to the other lane being repaired. I was just hoping I would get through before they closed at 6pm. Boy did I ever! The tech who tested my car was friendly, smiling and courteous. By 5:50pm I left the Air Team office with my new sticker.
This is the location to go to. They only have 3 bays but they do 2 cars per bay. I was the 3rd car in line and I was out there no longer than 15 minutes. The location is a bit hidden so but it is clearly marked with signs.
Very friendly and polite staff here, and they do emission test real quick, like 5-10 mins. There is a chair you can sit and wait beside. The test result is uploaded in real time, so you can do your plate renewal immediately online. They have an office that you can do the renewal there too, but seems you might have to pay a fee or so.
Typical vehicle/government operated facility very similar to DVM except that people traffic moves a lot faster than DMV since there are limited vehicle services to be done at this facility. I have visited this facility every two years three times so far. It is great that one is able to get the plate sticker onsite after omission test is complete to skip the DMV long lines. Though, there is a slight extra fee for that service I wish it was not part of the process. The staff are all right, but not much is expected since your interaction with the staff who are conducting the test is only about 1-2 minutes. Most likely you will have longer interaction with the staff who are working in the office selling and processing the sticker in the back of the building. Even at that point you will spend about 5-7 minutes, minus the waiting inline, processing payment and the paperwork. The place is what it is and not much is expected. Certainly, it is not my favorite place to come to, even once every two years. Having an electric vehicle in the future will hopefully eliminate the need for such service all together.
The employee doing the test was super rude. He didn't let me ask a single question. Horrible customer service. If someone hates his job so much, he should not take his frustration on the customer. DON'T BUY the renewal sticker. They charge $9.60 for it. I realized that after I paid with my credit card and saw the receipt.
