About Air Team Vehicle Emissions Testing Station - Markham

The test itself at Markham takes about 90 seconds once you're in a lane, and reviewers who go early in the month report pulling up to a nearly empty lot - five open lanes, two cars waiting. Stickers are sold on site with a convenience fee. One repeat customer of 20 years says it has never taken more than 10 minutes.

The staff reviews are a mixed bag: friendly and professional per most accounts, with the occasional inspector drawing complaints, including one disputed failed test. Month-end is when everyone shows up; the first week of the month is wide open. Rated 4.5 across 3,100+ Google reviews.

Process to do the read took about 90 seconds. The workers are pretty rude but it's Markham so, just expect that. But super fast. Now to buy the sticker there, is a whole different story, 15 people waiting jn line to get into the office to buy at 740 am. Terrible. Get the clearance and buy it online, save your sanity.

It was Halloween and it took 4 minute wait. The girl working was super nice said it should only take 1 minute after she plugged it in. A minute later we waited for the print out I passed and was in and out in less then 10 minutes with the wait. I literally was out of my car less then 2 minutes.

Everybody goes here at the end of the month. I went on or around the 2nd of the month and there were 2 cars there with 5 open lanes. Even when busy this doesn’t take very long.

If you have a problem going to this testing site, is has to be your fault. Have always had great service here and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Cant believe this is run by the state of Illinois, its too efficient.

I took my vehicle here. It took about 5 minutes to test and get immediate results. They offer plate stickers as well.

This place is always fast, to me anyway, even when the lines are long. I try to go early when they first open to avoid waiting. Overall, its my go to spot when I need my emission test.

I went in on a Friday and didn't pass my car shutdown (wouldn't start back up) in the lane they pushed me out to the street 😑. I went back on Saturday and the lady was so nice and relaxed she hooked my car up to the computer and my car passed. The workers that I experienced were really nice. I like this place because they have 6 lanes and you can renew your stickers there. It's in the middle of nowhere but I will continue to go there.

Inspector ID: ID10T and ID10T#2 If I could give ZERO STARS, I would! ID10T tested my car for emissions while it was turned off. My car failed the emissions test BECAUSE IT WAS NOT RUNNING! And then her colleague ID10T#2 came along and continued the test WHILE THE CAR WAS NOT RUNNING. Are they just terribly incompetent or did they purposely not start the car to fail my car and inconvenience me? Both things can be true. Maybe Illinois State will read this review and audit the % of fails coming from this location and do something about it. Something tells me this isn’t the first time this has happened. Avoid the Markham location. Avoid ID10T and ID10T#2. It may take a little time to travel to next site but you will save yourself time and aggravation in the long run. BTW I immediately went to another site, explained the situation and PASSED! They started the car! Go figure. Illinois State must do better to employ people that possess common sense and have basic troubleshooting skills. TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS: Turn the car on! If you don’t know how, ask the owner! Accept help.
