I’ve taken a couple of different cars to Dale’s over the years, and every time they are courteous, they are very straightforward with me about what needs to be done, they guarantee their work, their pricing seems fair, and my car is often done the day I bring it in. As a woman, there’s the old trope about bringing the car into the mechanic and them making up fun new things to fix and charge you for, and I have never felt that here. There is an integrity with their work and how they do business

Dales Auto Care is wonderful; fair and ethical in every way! They carefully evaluated our vehicle, and arrived at the most likely culprits. However, before simply recommending we proceed with repairs; they treated us like friends- telling us we might want to go back to our trusty tire company who did the recent tires/brakes, and see if they’d re-check one detail under warranty; just in case there was a chance it was related. The dealership and other repair shop we used to go to would never have considered telling us “hey before we fix this, go try this other option first, it may save you a lot.” Thank you, Dales!

Dale's Auto Care is an excellent, caring, honest, and talented team of mechanics. I was traveling and had a catastrophic failure of my cooling system ten miles south of Boise. I chose to have my truck towed there and they immediately got it into the shop. I was treated as a friend the second I arrived and I cannot recommend this shop enough! All of the employees I interacted with were kind, professional and personable.

If you're looking for a shop where you can expect trustworthy people and high-quality work, you should go to Dale's! I have been taking my car here for over a year, and every time I bring my car in it is a positive experience. Everyone here is honest and courteous, and the quality of work is great, not to mention fairly priced. I have been particularly impressed by the customer service here. When my car has needed more significant maintenance or repairs done, the staff at Dale's have explained clearly what is going on, and also offered advice on how to prioritize what needs to be done. Planning both simple oil changes and more complicated jobs are made pleasant here. Highly recommend this shop!

The one person I interfaced with was pleasenr. However, I tend to try to do the work I can myself (I'm broke), so when seeking out a mechanic, I often am looking for diagnostic help. That's what I came in for after some recent part replecements. While they got the work done fast, they didn't really give me a heads-up on potential cost of labor, etc. It was more like "here's what we did, and here's the bill" no option. Its important we pay skilled labor. And while I understand I am not paying for somebody to tighten a few screws (the literal work they performed), I am paying for the knowledge to know when to tightened screws. I feel a little screwed with a $160 bill. No call beforehand. It is what it is I guess.

BEWARE! They put a Bible verse on the sign but this may be a front so you drop your guard. I brought my car into them to test because the A/C only worked at higher RPMs. They said the entire A/C system needs to replaced -- over $2000 quoted. They said the pump is bad and the refrigerant level is full. The reason the entire system needs to be replaced is due to their "policy" when a pump needs replacing -- particles in the lines. I took the car to another shop a week later for a 2nd look. Shop was recommended by family. They added 1/2 pound of refrigerant because it was low and said the system may have a leak but is working fine now. $30 for the refrig. $30 vs $2000...you do the math! BEWARE!
