This was my first time at Dan’s Auto Repair, and I am so impressed! They are incredibly honest, reliable, and exceptionally courteous. It's so rare to find an automotive repair shop you can trust right away!

I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else!! The service and skill at Dan's is unsurpassed. He has taken great care of my work and personal vehicles for over 10 years.

Our parents used Dan's Auto Repair and now we do too. Can always count on Dan and his staff to do a good job at a fair price.

I got my Massachusetts State Vehicle Inspection done here. They were very quick and helpful, and had a great attitude. The waiting area was also spacious and extremely comfortable.

Quoting, scheduling and getting my major repair done was a breeze. Came in under the dealers quote by quite a bit, too. Great work!

Second time here for my wheel balancing needs. They are one of the few independent shops in the area that have a high end Hunter road force balancing equipment and do a terrific job diagnosing and solving tire/wheel issues. Person at the front desk is very professional and knowledgeable. I appreciated that he patiently listened to my concerns, and then provided a detailed explanation of the performed work and any concerns. Pricing was very reasonable. The shop is clean and tidy, which also indicates care, quality and attention to detail. Incredible service all around!

Wow. Wow. Wow. This place is excellent in every meaningful way. The cleanliness of not just the waiting room, but also every single repair bay — there isn’t a single oil slick or misplaced tool in the whole damn place. The customer service is top-notch — Dan, Jesse, and the whole gang made an immediate impression of honesty, considerateness, and experience. I brought in a set of wheels for them to install on a car that is new to me with unconventional lugs. I thought I purchased the proper fitment, but Jesse went way out of his way to help me understand where the fitment was off by taking his time to draw out on paper the difference between the two lugs in a way that I could easily understand. Being new to the area, I think I’ve found my go-to repair shop! Thanks, Dan & Jesse!

This shop was amazing! I’ve been in the motor car business my entire life but I’ve never been in an independent shops repair center lounge waiting area as comfortable as this one. And service,the last day of the month I went for a sticker I waited inside in the air conditioned comfort while my car was inspected, paid my $35 state inspection fee and my car was ready for me with the door open. No long lines I I’m just can’t sing enough praises for Dan’s Auto repair of Billerica.

9/8/20 - I found Dan’s Auto Repair in 2020 when purchasing new tires online from Tire Rack for my wife’s minivan. They're listed as one of the Tire Rack’s recommended installers. I ordered the tires and had them drop shipped to Dan’s for mounting and balancing. I chose them specifically because their shop is equipped with a Hunter road force balancing machine. They have one of the cleanest shops I’ve seen, large waiting area with comfortable seats, and a TV. The new set of tires were balanced perfectly and the ride is super smooth. 4/12/25 - I recently brought my SUV to have the tires inspected. Jesse helped check the condition and date code of when the tires were manufactured. He gave his assessment and I appreciated his honesty. I decided to keep the tires a little longer before replacing them. One of the tires used to have an air leak, which was repaired from a different shop. Unfortunately, there was some vibration/shaking above 60 mph after the repair, so I scheduled to have the wheel road force balanced at Dan’s. I was originally supposed to drop off the car, but was unable to find a ride to pick me up, so I waited instead. To my surprise, the car was ready in 30 minutes! Their team exceeded my expectations. I live 25 miles away from Dan’s Auto Repair and it’s worth the drive. Jesse and Dan provide excellent customer service, are professional, and take their time to explain things. They’re happy to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend Dan’s Auto Repair. 9/15/25 - Edited Review (3 Stars) I ordered new tires again from Tire Rack for my wife’s minivan and had them drop-shipped to Dan's Auto for mounting, balancing, and installation of new genuine Toyota TPMS sensors. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. When I returned home, I noticed scratches and gouges on the finish of my wheels that were not there before the service. Two of the new scratches appear to have been caused by a mechanical device. The damage is uniform and circular along the wheel lip where the tire bead meets the rim, which is consistent with mishandling during mounting rather than curb rash. This same type of scratch is visible on two different wheels. There are also arc-shaped scratches on the faces of the wheels. It also looks like previous stick-on wheel weights were removed with an abrasive tool, stripping off the paint and exposing the bare aluminum. I recommend the shop use safer, less aggressive methods, such as a rubber wheel. On the positive side, the ride remains smooth, just as it was before. My prior experiences at Dan’s Auto have been excellent, so perhaps the technician who worked on our van today was new. While I’ve had positive experiences in the past, this recent issue makes me hesitant to return.
