About Mike's Emission
Mike's Emission (Boise) is where you end up after the Glenwood line sits unattended and Chinden's ten minutes pass empty - Mike runs first-timers through the process curiously and quickly, sweetly per his fans.
One 15-minute wait behind a non-tester with no attendant ended in disappointment. Single-lane reality. Idaho emissions testing. Rated 4.6 across 82 reviews.

I had a very pleasant visit to Mike's Emission. There was a nice gentleman who performed the process very efficiently. If you need an emissions test done, I highly recommend them.
This was my first time to get a required emission test notice. Mike did a great job and he did it quickly. He explained the process since I was curious and was so professional throughout. It's was all so easy.
Absolutely wonderful. The gentleman was very friendly and so sweet. I love him. Service for emissions testing was super easy. Highly recommend for those requirements for Idaho transportation.
I first visited emissions on Glenwood where they had a line but NO ONE doing a test, then went to one on Chinden where I waited 10 minutes and no one came. Finally came over here and was immediately helped. Quick, efficient, straight-forward and helpful.
Went there last year, quick and professional. They are closed for emissions testing though sinc eit is no longer required.
Closed; Non existent UPDATE: I was not paying attention. I had no idea that the emissions were going away. I'm pretty dull, I guess.
I wasted my time coming here. It was closed at 11:30, and no one answered the phone. I won't be coming back to this place.
Extremely disappointed. Waited for 15 minutes behind someone not even getting a test done and the attendant didn’t even come out or notice. Then when I do pull up he asks if I was paying (for the guy in front of me) “umm no” I reply. Then he asks me to see the card for the test, turns around, and then looks back at me and says actually it’s 6 pm and it would take me 15 minutes to do it. I look at my phone, it’s 5:59 so it’s not 6 yet, legal hours, but the moment he saw that clock close apparently he’s closed. Unfortunately I’m a blue collar worker and see this as unprofessional and just do t right lazy. I work longer days if I need to just because I’d love to make a customer happy. Doesn’t matter if it’s 30 minutes or 3 hours till I get done. I get it done and dont make excuses. Was a nice touch that he had his personal truck already started and running for the full 15 minutes he didn’t notice me waiting on line so he was obviously ready to leave. His excuses only started when he realized what the time was. Lazy and disappointing. Please come up with better excuses you tell someone you can’t do a simple test.
