About Mobil
This Mobil station's garage (Milwaukee area) under new ownership wins daily regulars - timing belts, tune-ups and correct one-day diagnoses with no upselling, per long-timers who trust them with everything. Around $105 for typical work.
Beware the fee stack: one emissions-test fail came with a $200-250 quote that grew with hidden service charges, and Saturday oil-change promises have missed. Ask for the out-the-door number. Wisconsin emissions testing. Rated 3.5 across 128 reviews.
Reported smog check price: $105.00. Prices can change; call to confirm.

so thankful they took over this spot. the new owners are incredible. i can’t speak highly enough of the new place lol ill be here every day. maybe a few times 😆
I trust these guys with oil changes and any car repair. They are extremely trust-worthy and have never tried to "up sell" me on unnecessary repairs. I've been going to them for almost 15 years and have been a satisfied customer every time. You will not be disappointed by Dennis and the rest of his team - they stand by their work.
I have had my car worked on here several times, from a timing belt replacement to oil changes to recently a tune-up. They've always done a great job until the tune-up, where they did not test my fuel injectors. One ended up being faulty, and as a result I was stopped not far from here by a passerby who warned me I was leaking gas at an alarming rate. I made it back with just enough gas to park and handed the keys back. I got a call the next day and they admitted fault and covered all replacement costs under the repair warranty. I appreciate their honesty and, aside from this instance, general thoroughness. Staff are very friendly and give it to you straight, honored their quotes except once when it took too long to replace some components in the exhaust that had frozen over. If you're looking for a no-nonsense mechanic, I would recommend giving this place a try.
They did a great job on repairing my car. They correctly diagnosed the problems and had the vehicle fixed within one day. They do good work. This is not a place where you would have to take your car back because the work wasn't done correctly. They also gave me an estimate that was within a few dollars of the actual cost.I like that.
Beware of hidden service fees! We took our car in for a routine emissions test and it failed because of a faulty censor. We were quoted $200 - $250 to fix it, so left the car for repair. Then got a call from the mechanic that it would now cost $1200! We decided not to pay this amount and went to pick up the car. When we arrived they told us that we needed to pay a $90 assessment fee. When the car was dropped off no one mentioned this fee and nothing was written down or signed. The mechanic was argumentative and we needed to call the owner to get a resolution. They need to change their policy to make all charges clear before doing any work. Worst service I've ever experienced.
I called for an oil change appointment on Friday. They told me there would be no appointment needed if I brought my car in before noon on Saturday and they would have it done within the hour. I took it in and asked them if they could also replace my cabin air filter, which I provide. I waited for an hour, and they still hadn't pulled my car in, so I left and asked them to call me when it was ready. 3.5 hours later I called them and they said they were just pulling it in. I walked there, 10 minutes from my house and they were done with it when I walked up. They charged me $104, $38 for the oil change, $59 to replace the air filter I provided, and $5 shop charge. It was 2 screws to remove the filter! Midas did an oil change for $25 bucks with a 21 point inspection, checked that filter and said they would replace it for the cost of the filter since they already checked it which is when I should have replaced it. Midas even rotated my tires! Beyond upset with this place.
