About Nashville Auto Repair

George runs Nashville Auto Repair the way reviewers wish more shops ran: transmission and fuel system work diagnosed and done without mystery, tire quotes walked through option by option, and a traveler's fender repair fitted in while she was stuck out of town. Women who don't trust mechanics say George changed that.

Electrical work and fuel leaks get handled too. The rare complaint involves a service that needed a second visit. Tennessee has no emissions program, so this is repair work, not smog. Rated 4.8 across over 1,000 reviews.

I highly recommend Nashville Auto Repair. The owner, George was extremely helpful!! They diagnosed and repaired both my transmission and fuel system problems with professionalism and honesty. They took the time to explain what was wrong, kept me informed throughout the repair, and didn’t try to sell me work that wasn’t needed. My vehicle is now running much better, and I appreciate the quality of their work, fair pricing, and excellent customer service. It’s hard to find a mechanic you can trust, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing reliable automotive repairs. Thank you George, for getting me safely back on the road! I give them 10 stars!!!

I’ve always had issues trusting mechanics, especially being a woman. I found this shop through Google and decided to give them a chance. George, was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and helpful! He answered all of my questions thoroughly and was patient with me. I left feeling a great sense of relief and calm knowing he took care of my car and ensured it was good to go. I would highly recommend.

Left a great experience getting quotes for new tires. I went in with a lot of questions and they took the time to walk me through all my options clearly, without any pressure to decide on the spot. I ended up choosing 4 new tires and felt confident in the choice thanks to how helpful and informative they were throughout the process. They also explained the warranty details in a way that actually made sense and even included a free oil change, which was a nice bonus I wasn’t expecting. I had called another place beforehand that was initially helpful, but they never followed up when I tried reaching back out—so the difference in communication really stood out. Overall, super smooth and supportive experience from start to finish. Really appreciate the team for making it easy and stress-free.

Excellent service! I needed my car’s fender repaired while I was out of town and was understandably concerned about the whole process. They were able to fit me in at the last minute, handled everything professionally, and repaired the fender quickly. Everyone was polite, communicative, and made a stressful situation much easier. I really appreciated their kindness and efficiency. Highly recommend their services!

I stopped in to check on prices for a friend’s transmission and in the process we talked about my losing power to my vehicle. He stops and ended up checking under my hood and adjusted my battery connection which he found to be loose and also offered me coffee when I said his coffee smelled so good. Wow this was such an unexpected experience. Amazing service!

We just moved into the area and the check engine light came on. There's a few options for auto repair nearby but this one seemed like the best from the reviews. The reviews were right, they gave me a fair quote to run the diagnostics. Once that was done I received an immediate phone call and explanation of what was going on. After discussing and approving services they had my car ready by the afternoon. I'm happy with the service, prompt communication and quality. I'll be coming back in a few months for an oil change, thanks!

I needed help with some electrical work on my vehicle. The staff worked promptly to identify and repair the problem. I also had a fuel leak. George offered to repair that as well. It wasn't long before his team got me back on the road. On such a rainy and busy day, everyone kept a great attitude. I appreciate their quality of work and expertise. Their prices are competitive but great for my budget. As a 1st time customer, I definitely recommend.

my guy George got me going after the budget drive-through services had failed me. I got new brakes and water pump. The service was efficient and friendly and price is reasonable. They are in my neighborhood and I’m happy to give them my business. I came here based on good reviews and I approve.

I very rarely do reviews but after being asked by another business to give a review on their service, I remembered the review I was asked to submit by this business and decided to remove my previous review to give an honest one about what their service cost me. I have used this business before for body work and although they were one of the highest quotes for the work I got done they were convenient due to the fact that I lived near by and the overall body work was good. However, my last visit turned into a domino effect which cost me severely. On my last visit I initially came to get a lower radiator hose replaced due to the fact that it had developed a bubble and was spewing antifreeze out of the hole. Because my normal shop i visit for repairs couldn't fit me in that week I opted to go with this shop instead because they would do it the same day. After getting the hose I really ddn't notice a problem. I guess because I lived so close to the shop but after about two days of not driving after the repair, the next time I got on the car I noticed smoke coming from the front area of my car. Being that I had had a leak prior too I assumed it my be burning the old antifreeze off but the next day or so it was leaking perfusely. I messaged the shop owner and he told me I could bring it back by but the day he told me I could come back I had to work so I took the chance of searching for the leak myself and noticed it was coming out directly next to the hose that was previously changed so on my next off day I took it back over to him and showed him where it was leaking, which was the radiator, and the owner insisted that it had nothing to do with the repair that was done with the hose however there were no leaks coming from that area originally. He then proceeded to tell me that they do not repair radiators at that shop and I needed to take it elsewhere to be fixed. I found this part to be the most strange because in my mind if you can't fix a radiator you should not be touching any parts in association with the radiator. Because I couldn't get it fixed immediately after the mishap due to my 169 dollar hose turning into a 1300 dollar repair. I tried filling up with antifreeze and water on a trip to trip basis until I could find a price that I could afford so unexpectedly but because I did that, I in turn ended up blowing the head gasket on my car. A 169 dollar repair turned into about 13,000 dollars to fix my car. I know many would feel I should have just got a new car but my car only had 80,000 miles at the time and was paid off and I wanted to keep it. I had to take out loans and etc to fix my vehicle when all they said was they didn't do it. They also broke a cord connected to my ignition coil and jimmi rigged it back together with Bungie cords and denied breaking that as well. I understand that mistakes happen but the whole point of taking your car to a shop is so that if something is done wrong someone can be held accountable. Other than that I could have gotten a shade tree mechanic to mess my car up. The lack of accountability and the drive to get over on women at these shops are ridiculous. I honestly feel like if I was a man this situation would have went slightly different but oh well you love and learn I guess. However I will not be using this shop again. Below I will attach pictures of the blown hose, where it leads to, the damage to the radiator that looks like it was done by a tool, and pictures of the broke plug before and after the Jimmie rigg. Use at your own risk 🤷🏾‍♀️
