About Ohio E-Check
The North Royalton Ohio E-Check facility is a well-oiled version of the state's free emissions test: Jasmine and the crew run quick, friendly tests, and the on-site BMV kiosk means registration stickers in the same stop. The self-service machine gets love from introverts who'd rather not socialize at all.
Wait times run minutes. Ohio requires E-Check every two years for even-model-year vehicles in the Cleveland area counties. Rated 4.4 across 710+ reviews.

The self e check machine is SO convenient! Thankful they have one to make life easier and not have to socialize lol.
The place was clean and fast the technician we had younger guy with brownish blood curly hair was so friendly and helpful! Great job!
Took my car in a week and a half or so ago. Very quick service. Jasmine conducted the test on my car. She was very friendly and efficient. Quick test...friendly employee. Good experience.
Easy in, easy out. Piece of cake. Waited a few minutes as there was a car in front of me. I also got renewed registration and tags as there was a kiosk inside. All good. I will use it again next year. Great experience for sure.
I was in and out with no issues at the North Royalton facility and the staff was very courteous.
Fast and efficient. Loved the kiosk to get your stickers, saving a trip to BMV. Didn't have a problem with the kiosk BUT if you do have trouble there is a sign stating that the employees are NOT trained to help. You have to call an 800 number to get assistance.
The staff were courteous and efficient. It was a pleasure to have my vehicle check completed here. Thank you to the staff. I appreciate your service. 🙏
Nothing special. Quick self-service kiosk. I am wondering - why they don't want to place such kiosk right near the title bureau? Will it make government services exceed allowed limit of logic?
The place is free now in Cuyahoga County (years ago there was a fee). The staff are efficient and friendly. I am a proponent of clean air. E-checks are not required in all states and they are not even required in all counties in Ohio, which is not fair. Why should only some people have to take their car in for an e-check and others in nearby counties simply don't have to. There's a self service kiosk that you can use if you got there when they are closed. They now have a kiosk inside where you can get your license sticker and that is convenient. However, the room is way too dark to see what you are looking at on the screen, also not everything works right away. I had to scan my drivers license 4 times before it was accepted and I had to scan my credit card a few times too. Also there is a $4.95 processing fee and a $1.75 credit card use fee. Also, the option for getting a 2 year sticker as opposed to 1 year, was never presented on the screen.
