The self e-check has to be one of the easiest ways I've ever gotten an E-Check done. Honestly, just about anyone could do it, it's that simple. The process is easy to follow, straightforward, and very user-friendly. My only complaint was that the scanner at this particular location was missing. It wasn't a major issue because I was still able to manually enter my VIN number, but having the scanner available would have made the process even faster. From start to finish, it took less than 10 minutes to complete the test, get my printout, and be on my way to renew my sticker. In my opinion, this is exactly how E-Checks should be done. I don't think there needs to be any more drive-thru locations. These self-service stations are available 24 hours a day, making them far more convenient. Whether it's 2:00 in the morning or 5:00 in the afternoon, you can stop by whenever it fits your schedule. I think it's a great idea, and I'll definitely continue using this option from now on.
It was great! You can do e-check even in 3am, if you need a sticker next day, and forgot, that it's YOUR year! Pretty clear instructions on the screen. Even first time it went smoothly. You will need to bend and climb to where pedals are in your car. And find that smart connector you didn't know exists. Altogether it took 10-12 mins.
Super convenient if you know how to hook up the data cable thingy, it took my a minute or two to find that connection but once I did it was smooth sailing. Printed the report out for free.
This is the best thing ever. No appointment or hassle. Just go do it. It takes maybe 8 minutes. You can go at midnight if you like. It's so easy and convenient. Best upgrade to a device ever.
The Ohio E-Check Self-Service Kiosk was fast, convenient, and easy to use. The instructions were clear, and the process was much quicker than going through a traditional testing station. I appreciated being able to complete the test on my own schedule without long wait times. The kiosk worked smoothly, and the results were processed without any issues. Overall, a very efficient and user-friendly experience—highly recommended for anyone needing an Ohio E-Check.
Surprisingly easy to figure out. Way faster in my opinion then going somewhere to get an OBD read. Only a small wait depending on the day.
I didn't know this existed until a early September and it is honestly such a life saver! So easy to use, it got me back on the road in less than 30 minutes!!
New gadget that is in the parking lot of the BMV. This really makes it convenient not having to go to another location far away. It has two remote scanner devices, I wonder how long it will be before they are lost. The kiosk took a bit to figure out but the instructions were clear. This option might not be for the tech challenged or those that have limited mobility and can't reach under the dashboard to plug in the one scanner. It printed out the page I needed and I went a couple doors down to get my license plates.
Super easy, fast and convenient. I went there yesterday. It took maybe 10 minutes maximum. You must know where your VIN number is located and where your OBD is located. Attached you can see photos of mine on a Toyota Corolla 2010.
As I expected, it was out of service. A real let down. And I'm sure it will probably take them a millon years to fix it!
