About Shorewood Auto Repair
Shorewood Auto Repair schedules warning-light calls immediately and does CVT fluid changes the way the forums say Nissan dealers shouldn't (drain-and-fill, not flush). Customers who moved away keep driving back for the transparency, and snowy-day pickups come with honest tire warnings.
One caliper job needed redoing within 50,000 miles per a second shop's finding. Wisconsin requires no emissions testing. Rated 4.4 across 222 reviews.

My brake light and engine light flashed once while driving to work. I called them told them what happened and they scheduled me immediately. Their response time, honesty, and detailed explanation of the issue with my car and low costs and excellent service makes them number one for me. I continue to refer widowed women, single older women to their shop because they never take advantage of us because we don’t know cars. I am humbly grateful for this auto repair shop.
I got my pump and spark plugs fixed a while back. Got my car on a snowy icy day, everything checked out, and the guy told me "it's all good, but your tires are worn out". I got stuck on a half inch of ice in the service road trying to turn onto capitol for a half hour. Literally couldn't move four feet for my life, just spinning tires and slowly spinning into the lane, blocking the service drive with my stupid mustang convertible perpendicular in the roadway. Then Keith came out, got some sand, ice, and floor mats to help me move the car. That didn't work so he pulled around with a four wheeler and literally pushed me back onto some amount of asphalt. Then he told me to keep the floor mats as long as I needed them, and followed me out to Capitol to make sure I made it safe. Didn't charge me a dime. 5 stars, would come again, thanks Keith.
I had to have my CVT transmission fluid changed and I had called a local Nissan dealer and they were going to flush it first. I knew from reading the forms that you shouldn't flush a CVT with 68k miles. I called Shorewood auto repair and he confirmed that flushing would be a bad idea with my vehicle and they explained why. I believe I spoke to the owner or manager and he was very helpful. He gave me an estimated price range (depending on how much fluid was to be used) and I proceeded to have the work done. Before the tech started on my SUV, he called me and let me know how much it would cost and asked if it was ok to proceed. I had my SUV back in a few hours and was very happy with the final price and the work done. The tech also went above and beyond and told me the quality of the fluid that came out and recommended when it should be serviced next. It's nice to have a car repair place that I trust and can rely on to be honest. Not only that, the knowable and friendly staff helped me to make the right maintenance decision. Great Job!!
Ive had a lot of work done here. Never a bad Never a bad experience, or felt like I was being taken advantage of. Trust worthy shop.
I found Shorewood auto when living in the area. Now even through I no longer live in shorewood, I still come back! They're always super nice and transparent on issues and pricing. I love the late key drop off option too.
I stopped by recently to get a second opinion on an estimate that didn’t quite add up. They were super responsive, honest, and really helpful. My car’s running great now! Definitely coming back for any future service needs!
I did not have a good experience here. They charged me $250 above what they quoted me without contacting me to authorize those services before doing them. They were mysteriously unable to complete the job so I had to take it to another shop where it was discovered that the sway bar latch hadn’t even been connected properly thus making my car drive worse. Follow up 9/9/25: Keith, the owner of the shop, reached out to me and addressed my concerns with the service I received. He was very kind, helpful and professional in addressing these concerns and made the issues right. While my experience initially was not good, I can say that at Shorewood Auto they strive to remedy any customer concerns that may arrive.
I took my VW Jetta here 3/30/23 to have my front and rear calipers replaced. Not even 50,000 miles later I am told by Midas that the front calipers are seizing up and they need to be replaced. After talking to mechanics who are competent and not trying to steal your money, I was informed my calipers should last well over 100,000 miles. Either Shorewood auto didn’t to the job they charged me for or they did a half ass job and charged me 1600 to not properly my car. No matter what I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE. go anywhere else. Save your money and actually go somewhere they will fix your car and not try to steal your money.
