About Three Suns Auto Care
Three Suns Auto Care (Wilmington, Delaware) finishes cars a day sooner than the estimate, arranges tows, skips the upsell, and talks pre-purchase inspections through from the first call. Doug rescued a Prius flat on the way to the train station and last-minute inspection procrastinators alike.
One customer describes a world's-worst customer service experience - sharply against the Doug-centered grain. Delaware inspection and repair. Rated 4.9 across 108 reviews.

I'm thankful to have a short list of mechanics that I really trust and value, and Three Suns is one of them. They work very hard to get the job done in a timely manner, carefully explain all repairs and options and do excellent work.
Had a flat tire with my Prius on my way to train station and found this shop on Google Map as the nearest auto shop. Doug was nice and very helpful to order a tire right before the cut-off time for today (2pm), and I was able to drive home before 3:30pm. Cost is reasonable.
Three Suns had my car running a day sooner than the estimate. They helped with a tow and didn't try to upsell anything. Also gave advice on maintaining with the car in the future. Great service all around.
Had such a great experience! Doug was able to get me in for a car inspection (even though I waited until last minute to get it done) and was extremely helpful and pleasant! My car was done in a timely fashion. Very happy and will be coming back!
Called around looking for mechanics to handle a pre-purchase inspection for a used vehicle I was considering. Spoke with Doug and from our intial conversation, I was put at ease and got a sense that I was dealing with a man/business of integrity. Took the vehicle and had the inspection done, and not only did Doug give me his professional opinon on whether to move forward with the purchase (NOT!), he also took the time to provide me information that would help me make a better decision moving forward. I still haven't found my car yet, but it's in part due to the education that Doug so willingly provided. I've decided that Doug and Three Suns will be my go-to from here on out and I will refer them to anyone asking. I'm in Wilmington, but I'm willing to make the approx. 30-minute drive to deal with a shop built on truth, honesty, respect and integrity.
Three suns Auto is an unbelievable location with honesty and amazing customer service Doug is always polite and professional with appointments and clarifying what's wrong with your car and what needs to done. Three Suns Auto is my first choice every time.
Doug and team are the best mechanics I've ever worked with. They are knowledgeable, honest, and provide excellent customer service. Doug has gone out of his way to help with several issues and always provides thorough explanations and clear options without being condescending (hard to find in a mechanic!) My workplace uses Three Suns to service their vehicles and I travel 40 minutes to bring my personal vehicle here as well. They're worth it!
Highly Recommend! Three Suns Auto is great! We've been taking our cars to Three Suns for the past 2 years and have been so impressed with the level of service Doug and his team provide. Doug does a great job of always explaining what is going on with the car and gives you a heads-up on things that are likely to occur in the future (i.e. you're going to need new tires or brakes in the next 6-12 months). Doug has never recommended unnecessary services based strictly on the mileage of the car. He and his team always go the extra mile and we're so happy we found a great and trustworthy mechanic.
BEWARE… BEWARE… BEWARE… BEWARE… Walking into Three Sun Automotive was like paying for front-row seats to the world’s worst customer service comedy show. The staff had the attitude of people who hate their jobs and somehow wanted to make sure everyone else hated their day too. Yelling, cursing, and acting completely unprofessional seemed to be part of the business model. If respect was a part they were supposed to install, they definitely forgot to order it. Their customer service has more warning lights on than a 300,000-mile check engine dashboard. I’ve met friendlier parking tickets. Instead of fixing problems, they seemed determined to create new ones. A little professionalism would go a long way, but judging by my experience, they’d need a tow truck just to drag theirs into the parking lot. Do yourself a favor—save your time, your patience, and your sanity. There are plenty of shops that know how to treat people like customers instead of inconveniences. This place didn’t earn my business, my respect, or a second chance.
