Steve and the team at Village Auto are just fantastic. You would be hard-pressed to find a more honest and knowledgeable mechanic in greater Portland. My whole family goes to Village Auto and yours should too!
There was a miscommunication about the price of a service and the staff we able to correct it! They are also very honest about what needs to be fixed and make sure you are only paying for what needs to be done. Great service, will definitely be back!
Went to Village Center Auto Care today for my first time (recommended by my boyfriend), and they did a fantastic job! The gentlemen upfront were very friendly and helpful! I will definitely be coming back for future service on my car. Thanks!
They just did an alignment on my mustang. I really appreciated that they called to find out why I wanted it aligned, in case they had to check something else. They also offered to do an inspection on the car while it was there. Good experience, very easy to work with!
I brought my car in to get checked out, as I saw some symptoms of a fuel leak and I don't have the experience to deal with fuel systems. They called me back saying they saw no sign of a leak, but I trust they did look thoroughly and they did talk through other things that may cause the symptoms, without talking down to me or trying to charge me for some inexistant problem. They also, noticing my inspection was due soon, offered to just knock that out while the car was there. All in all, I felt they were honest, thorough, and respectable. As a 20-something woman, I've had my share of mechanics trying to trick me or be condescending, but I felt good about my experience here.
Very kind staff. They were prompt in receiving me and were able to spot and fix something I wasn’t even in for so that my car would be safe on the road and so that I wouldn’t have to make another appointment later to fix that as well. I feel that they are honest and fair in their pricing too. I would highly recommend them.
So easy to schedule and drop off. Its a short walk to my office and 2 hours later all done-9000 mike service and tire rotation. I trust these guys with all my vehicles-personal and business
We have had several positive experiences at Village Auto. Their work is quality and efficient, with great communication. We value being able to trust their word and recommendations with no second thoughts.
Sunoco has highest octane gas in the area I believe (93) They keep the inside of this old-school establishment very clean & inviting. The staff is very friendly and the garage that does service in the back is outstanding!!! Free Air; just ask for the hose, they let you borrow it from inside! Highly recommended business, however, I wish they were open later or could at least keep the pumps on at night (like they do in Portland) must be a Scarborough thing🤷🏼♂️
Had a lemon law hearing coming up and wanted a 2nd mechanic report confirming high speed wobble in almost 3-year-old Jeep Wrangler. Also wanted them to look at drag link, tie rods and shocks because 1st mechanic said they were damaged/defective. Explained everything to VC Auto. They got back from test drive/checking it out. “Everything is fine and no wobble.” “Did you get up to 68 mph like I asked?” “Not really I didn’t want to get pulled over, but everything else looks fine.” Why did they even take it if they weren’t going to get up to speed? Two days later took it to a 3rd mechanic - confirmed wobble and failed state inspection for a BAD DRAG LINK, also noted blown shocks. I won my lemon law case and got a full refund but no thanks to the questionable service and added stress from Village Center Auto! (They didn’t charge me because they didn’t get up to speed, but not sure how they missed the obvious damage?).
