My Honda Ridgeline Broke down in Richmond Virginia I got it towed to AAMCO in Durham North Carolina was treated like a valued customer by Lee Ward and his team they installed my new street smart remanufacture transmission in a timely fashion running great so far.

I came in a couple of weeks ago after having a terrible experience with another auto shop in the area that had horrible customer service. From the moment I called in, Lee was informative, patient, and incredibly helpful in explaining everything I needed. It was such a relief to work with someone who was honest, professional, and made me feel confident about the care of my vehicle. Hopefully, I won’t have to return for any future auto issues, but if I do, I know both my time and my vehicle will be in great hands. I highly recommend this shop and truly appreciate the excellent customer service I received.

I had an amazing experience with AAMCO. From the moment I walked in, the staff was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about helping me. They took the time to explain everything about my vehicle in a way that was easy to understand and never tried to pressure me into unnecessary repairs. The service was fast, honest, and high quality. My car has been running perfectly since the repair, and the pricing was fair for the level of expertise and work they provided. It’s hard to find auto shops you can truly trust, but AAMCO definitely earned my confidence. Danny and his team were amazing . I came in with my 2013 honda civic that was giving me issues. They were transparent with what i needed and what i didnt need . Ended up needing a new transmission Danny quoted me on a great price. My car was well taken care of its been 2 weeks now and my car is running smoothly . Thanks to danny and his team for doing great work on my car will highly reccommend this location

I'm so thankful for the wonderful job that Steve and Danny did for me, it was pleasing to hear the follow up they offered me me after replacing the transmission on my 2013 Chevrolet Silverado truck . (On the road again) :-)

Great straight forward pricing. Their communication was superb and thorough. Talked to me about parts needed and didn’t try to charge or sell me anything unneeded. The guy at the front desk (wish I remembered his name) was super friendly and helpful. He contacted my warranty company, handled everything smoothly, and made the whole experience stress-free. A little while later, my car started making a weird noise, and once again, I was sent back to AAMCO. Same great service! I explained the issue, and they jumped on it right away. Turned out it was just a few bolts that needed tightening — quick fix, and I was back on the road. Honest, efficient, and super friendly. I’ll definitely return if I ever need anything else. Highly recommend AAMCO Transmission!

Do not take your vehicle here. This was a certified warranty center for my transmission. They replaced the transmission and had me come pick the vehicle up and it was worse than when I brought them the vehicle. They assured me it needed to “learn” or pair itself with my vehicle and would get better, but it’s only gotten worse. Even worse yet is the $900 I spent on a rental car and now they want to keep my truck with no time frame for returning it and have me pay for a rental on their timeline. The Donna lady at the front desk is an absolutely horrid human being to deal with. If anyone reading this has had a similar experience please reach out. Currently taking steps to mitigate them from taking advantage of consumers like me and you in the future.

I wish there were an option to give zero stars. I have visited this location more than a dozen times over the past couple of years, and the experience has been consistently disappointing. My first visit was in August 2014 to have the air conditioning in my Honda Odyssey inspected. I ended up having the entire AC unit replaced, along with the power steering fluid, totaling over $2,500. Eight months later, the AC failed again. It was replaced under warranty, but the issue has returned once more after only a few months. Each visit results in significant expenses, yet the quality of the work does not reflect the amount I have paid. At this point, I am genuinely hesitant to return, as I am concerned about being charged thousands of dollars again without receiving a lasting solution. I respectfully request that someone from corporate review this ongoing issue and help provide a resolution—ideally one that does not require me to take additional time off work or incur more unnecessary costs.
