About Gresham DEQ Test Station
Gresham's DEQ station gets called efficient and friendly in the same sentence, which for a state emissions site is the whole game. Ten cars in line at open still meant a short visit for one reviewer, and a Friday-afternoon customer found it empty while Clackamas ran five full lanes - location timing matters in Portland's DEQ math.
RV owners note the lanes are tight for a 32-footer but doable. One tip from a regular: don't line up before opening on Tuesdays; arrival order etiquette apparently matters to the crew. Saturday 9am visits report under 20 minutes. Rated 4.6 across 1,600+ reviews.

This DEQ is both efficient and friendly. I am always glad to detour over to this location because I know that I will have prompt service and be able to take care of what I need without any fuss.
This was my second trip for DEQ inspections and both times was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the inspectors and the short wait time. In previous states I have lived in it certainly wasn't even close to this one! Great job Oregon!
Excellent. I wish every government regulated process was this efficient and easy. Arrived 10 mins after they opened and even with 10 cars ahead of me, I only spent maybe 5 minutes in line. In and out in another 5 minutes. Great, efficient, competent, friendly staff. Clear directions.
Very friendly technician, extremely fast service. Don't know if I just got lucky on a Friday afternoon, but while the Clackamas location had 5 full lanes, at Gresham there was no wait, and I was out in five minutes flat. I'll be coming back here every time!
I got what needed to be done and they were super nice to me but dont try to get there early on Tuesday, I arrived at 829am-1 minute before they opened and they were packed, took me an hour to get in.
Went in on a Saturday around 9:00 got taken care of in less than 20 mins. Everyone was nice.
In and out with a 32 ft RV. A little tight, but no real issues.
Its my go to spot for renewing registration and getting testing done. Its not as big of a secret anymore as more customers are using this facility, but the service was fast and courteous.
I always have a good experience at this location. This time, I had an inspector whose name is Charles. He was super friendly and efficient. I had my dog in the car so I was a bit worried how things would go but Charles is a huge dog person so no problems at all. In fact, my dog liked him very much so kept wagging the tail the whole time.
Quick and easy. When I've had a car fail they advised me exactly what to do next, and when they have passed I have had a totally painless experience. If you're paying cash, don't use lane 4.
