Customer Reviews
The team there are great. Very upfront and reasonable about the work being done and accommodating my wishes. Most recently they corrected an issue that occurred after I used a different shop (sorry guys) FWIW - I have an older Passat with lots of issues, but they give great guidance and work with my budget. I'll keep coming back
First of all if you have a volkswagen, ditch the dealership and come here. after taking my car to the dealership for an oil change, my car came back with a dented license plate and a piece coming off the back of my car. Not only are these guys cheaper than a dealership they are 100% more trustworthy which is so hard to find. The are kind and wont try and sell you on something your car doesn’t need which is huge. Couldn’t recommend a car service shop enough!
Joe and the crew are always honest and work quickly. I’ve brought my 15’ GTi there for the past 4 years with nothing but good experiences. I always feel well taken care of at Hans
What a wonderful experience!!! I have never had such a lovely experience getting my car serviced! Up front pricing, easy scheduling and no surprises! Joe provided great communication the whole way and was so nice to work with! They even have a guy who details cars for an extra but very reasonable fee! My car looks beautiful and feels like a new car! Thank you so much!! I will be back for the life of my car and will refer friends!
DISHONEST⚠️⚠️⚠️ If you think it’s a good time to be part of Mechanic BINGO come here. Took car in because brakes were sticking as I was driving it. It took them 3 weeks to navigate that there was a problem, fixing random parts. By the time they finally listened to me and realized the brakes were sticking while I was driving it…. brake pads were worn off. Hans replaced the master cylinder, brake booster, brake peddle. NONE of which were the problem. Kept it for TWO WEEKS. Returned it with the brakes still sticking. The first time I took the car here they did some work and gave it back with an o2 sensor light on. This last time charged me a couple thousand dollars and returned it with the EPC and o2 sensor light on and still having the original problem. Gave it back with additional 250 miles on the car and dirty interior. I feel like my car and myself were takin for a joy ride at my expense. If you know ANYTHING about cars you know not to drive with EPC light on. Super disappointed. May be good for an oil change but SAVE YOURSELF and go to a VW dealer if you have serious concerns or problems. This is NOT a Reputable Mechanic. 😢
DO NOT GO HERE! I brought my passat in for a coolant flush and to replace my heater core as it was recommended to do both at the same time. During the process my heating went out in my car. I never had an issue with heating and the heater core was part of preventative maintenance. The shop refused to take any responsibility of this happening and said they would charge me to diagnose even though it worked fine before i brought my car here. I had thought this was a respected and trusted auto shop, but I am incredibly disappointed seeing how this was handled. I wish I saw the other reviews as it looks like this was once an honest place to bring your car but it appears they have lost their way and their integrity. I am surprised they are still in business with how disrespectful their team and owner was with me. I will now need to take my car to another mechanic to fix what was broken at Hans Auto Repair. Update - I took my car to Auburn VW and the Heating core Hans replaced was faulty. Hans accepts no responsibility of this but that is to be expected with how they treated me in the first place.
