Customer Reviews
I have been dealing with meinekee for almost 6 years now and they have always done outstanding. These past two weeks have been incredibly stressful dealing with car repairs and Sarah has made the whole process for us easy. I will definitely be coming back again soon!
The customer service I experienced today was amazing. You get what you give, if you're nice and polite and understanding you get that back ten-fold. Sarah was very understanding of our situation (needed inspection ASAP and on a Saturday no less) and even though their computer systems were down due to internet issues, she still managed to get us seen same day since we were understanding of their situation and really needed the inspection same day. Xavier, bless him was the state inspector and was willing to squeeze us in. I couldn't be happier with the people who work here; each one was polite and professional and I will definitely return to this location (or whatever location Sarah is at!) because of the customer service.
A delight meeting female Manager Sarah with an A+ for her knowledge, I was there for my vehicle state inspection. Eric & Scott also did their work with friendliness & competence, answering questions I had. Time for the job was as expected. The only reason I purchased filters was due to Sarah. In past years I never bought your filters because your prices are much too high. Sarah's care, kindness & management was worthwhile this time!
The best auto care shop. We came to Virginia Beach for a family trip and our car broke down. At this MEINEKE shop, Mr. SHAWN and his certified technicians helped us as best they could, so we could return home safe and sound while they repaired my 2015 Nissan Rogue. From now on, I will switch to this excellent shop for all my car care needs.
Customer service was great. Freddie was helpful from the start. My breaks were bad; metal to metal. I needed them replaced and not being from around here I figured to go to a place I've seen back home. I had my free vehicle inspection and was surprised to hear about certain things being wrong. 1 being my cabin air filter that I just replaced last oil change. 2. Saying my oil needed to be changed but I hadn't hit my mileage for that yet; and had recently had my top off. But regardless I knew I needed the breaks. When I heard back about the price (regardless of 100$ off for spending however much) being over 900$ I was floored. I think I forgot to mention I needed breaks for my rear end not both axels. The price was outrageous and I could never find myself capable of paying such a high price in this current economy. I'm sure many people get work done here and are completely satisfied, the pricing just didn't work for me. Customer service was excellent though.
Completely unsatisfied and unprofessional. Brought my truck for inspection it failed as to be expected was quoted $4k total. Then requoted $1600 to get it to pass inspection only. I decided to do the work myself. Brought it back with all the listed items completed. Get reinspected and failed a second time now for new items that apparently were “overlooked” the first time. I have not driven the truck but to bring it home from first inspection. So tell me how I’m failing for more shit now?? Not to mention your quote is insane. $1500 for a control arm and ball joint. Where the heck did you get that price from?? Got the part for $86 took me less than 2 hours to install?? So your labor cost is $550/hr?? Guess I’m in the wrong profession. Overall worst experience and I will be rewriting this whole message on yelp and any other review platform I can find. Con artists!
My wife took her jeep grand Cherokee there for it appears oil is reservoir. Shaun which is the guy that waited on her . Told her he was it contact with her warranty company. N had filed a claim. He never filed the claim. But told her her Warranty company didn't cover this that.so would have to pay herself. They did the work n wen got jeep back it had a bad leak. That was going on before she brought to them. We contact them, they got jeep towed there ,called her say they had fix problem. Get jeep back it's leaking same Place . Shaun got very rude n unprofessional saying they had fix someone else problem n to us to take it to another shop per warranty ppl he say. So they created the problem refuse to fix and still got my wife $900 and something dollars. She filed complains n seeking legal action. So b careful taking your vehicle there. It goes in to have one problem fix,if they create another one they going keep your money n not fix the problem they create. And Shaun talk nice face to face. But on phone .he talks rude .over top you n unprofessional. They wouldn't repair what they mess up. Found out when they worked on jeep they some how damage radiator. Shaun knew this thats why they refuse to fix what they mess up .Took $900 n left my wife with leaking radiator Still no results. Shawn is unprofessional. Took my wife 900 dollars. Had to go to another meineke to get repairs done that they mess .up. wouldn't recommend anyone to them
I came to this location for a state inspection and I could never recommend that anybody do the same. I booked a 9:00am appointment for the inspection and dropped my vehicle off a bit early so I could head to work. I will admit, they did offer a courtesy vehicle free of charge, and that was the only reason the rest of my day was even manageable. I’ve had state inspections done before, and usually they don’t take more than an hour or two. By 1:00pm, I still hadn’t heard anything. I called them and they said my car hadn’t been taken in yet. I didn’t get a call from them until 5:00pm, an hour before they closed. They let me know that my car had failed inspection and needed front brakes, rear shocks, and two other more minor issues. They quoted me more than $2000 for the repairs. I called around and could not find another shop in the area that could charge more than $1000, so I took the car home. Because they waited until the very end of the day, there was no time for me to get the car into another shop, so I had to rearrange my plans for the next day to get the car fixed and reinspected. It seems to make sense to me that if you make an appointment for 9:00, that should be the time your car is going into the shop for the inspection. If you’re in the area and are in need of an inspection, I highly recommend Sullivan’s Family Auto Repair. They’re faster, more affordable, and more reliable. When you make a 9:00am appointment, your car is being inspected by 9:05am.
Extremely disappointing experience with poor communication, lack of professionalism, and disregard for customer time. I had an appointment scheduled for Wednesday at 8:00 AM, which had been made in person on Monday. I dropped my vehicle off well in advance at 5:00 AM on Wednesday, expecting timely service. However, I heard nothing back all day. I finally called at 4:30 PM and was told the car was just going in. That was already frustrating considering it had been there for nearly 12 hours. I went in person at 5:45 PM, just before closing, and was then told that the vehicle would be first in the bay Thursday morning. Again, disappointing, but I accepted it. Come Thursday at 7:30 AM, I called again and was told the car was already in the bay. I arrived by 8:30 AM to pick it up and go to work, only to find they were just then pulling someone else's car out to finally start work on mine. This proved the earlier statement was false. I waited on site, and while the actual service was completed by 9:30 AM, I had to ask to speak to the front desk who explained the service. I decline other services based on my current experience. I then waited another full hour with no explanation for why my car was not being released. To make things worse, I saw three employees in the back joking around on a computer, apparently more interested in goofing off than helping customers or being respectful of their time. Key issues: • Total lack of communication. No updates were provided. I had to do all the follow-up. • False promises and misstatements. I was told multiple times the car was in the bay when it was not. • No respect for appointments or customer time. Despite an early drop-off, the car was not serviced until nearly 30 hours later. • Unprofessional behavior. Employees were visibly slacking off while customers waited. • Zero urgency or accountability. No apology, no explanation, just delay after delay. If you value your time or expect basic professionalism, I would recommend finding a different location or service provider. I am
