Auto Specialties of Lake Norman

I took my 2018 RAV4 hybrid to the local dealership for an oil change. They told me that I needed over $1400 in repairs and “servicing “ and an oil pan leak that needed immediate attention- new gasket and sealing for $650! I declined everything but the oil change I had a coupon for. Fast forward 5k miles with me monitoring my oil level and still looking for evidence of the pan leaking on the driveway-never found any. I took my car in to Auto Specialties as they took care of my previous cars. The ONLY THING that my car needed was an oil change. No evidence of an oil leak, fuel injection didn’t need servicing, my brakes were great! Sorry for the long post The bottom line is that Auto Specialties is an honest, reliable business. Bert and his staff are friendly and very capable. I highly recommend Bert and Auto Specialties.

This was my first visit here after needing to find a new place for my car inspection since my previous shop closed. They were very efficient, took my car in right away and completed the inspection quickly. The customer service was excellent as well! Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely be returning in the future.

I absolutely love Lake Norman Auto Specialties! They are so knowledgeable and kind especially me being a single woman knowing absolutely nothing about cars. Come out to see Bert and his Crew! It’s well worth the drive!

We had a great experience with Burt. He was kind, patient, and thorough from start to finish. We came in after another dealership told us we needed a new battery and brake pads, but after Burt and his team took a look, he confirmed we didn’t need either. He explained everything clearly and honestly, making sure we understood what we did and didn’t need. It was obvious he genuinely wanted to help, not just sell us something. It’s rare to find someone that straightforward and thoughtful. Highly recommend working with him.

This is a great local shop. Run the way they should be. Not a chain trying to make a quota on the next customer, these guys are a family business that tries to earn your next visit every time. Bert and team (family) are terrific. This summer I brought them a Land Rover air conditioner issue that another shop I trust didn’t want to touch. He helped me figure it out and did so in the most economically practical manner. They are also a great spot for walk in state inspections. Quick and easy. They’ve earned my trust and my business. Give them a chance and they will do right by you.

Bert and his staff have worked on my cars for years. I have always been very pleased. All of the mechanics are knowledgeable and honest. I know the work was done completely, in a timely manner, and at a fair price.

Ive lived in the Huntersville area for decades, and am reluctant to say I just found this fantastic repair shop. I have used Autohaus Lake Norman in Denver for a German import for years and learned that Auto Specialties and Autohaus are sister facilities. These shops are fair in their pricing and approach. They will tell you about the repair for the reason you came, and also tell you about options for future problems you will want to be on the look out for. These guys are very professional and courteous. Pat went through everything with me and explained it well. It’s clear that they care about what they do. Highly recommend you work with them. I feel such a relief to find a shop that I can depend on.

I happen to come across this gem as I was driving by. Noticed the sign about inspections as I knew mine was due. Popped in and was greeted warmly by everyone at the shop. There was no waiting, and by the time I got some coffee in their waiting room and sat down, my car was ready. Everyone is very respectful and prfessional. I will absolutely go back there for future car needs.
