Had an emergency issue with my truck, not wanting to start this morning. Had to have it towed in. They diagnosed it and repaired it same day. Staff was friendly Knowledgeable and the price was reasonable. Will definitely be going here in the future for mechanic needs 10 out of 10 would recommend.

When our daughter in laws car broke down on her way to school in Shelby and our son was at work this morning I reached out to Michael at Ms D’s because they’ve always done us right with our work vehicles. Within an hour they had the vehicle picked by their buddies next door at Hornes, and had called me with the diagnosis. By the end of the day she was able to pick her car up and drive away. Towing, diagnosis, new serpentine belt, and pulley for just over $400. Ms D’s will get all of my families car repairs and I highly recommend them for their great customer service!
Went in for a brake inspection 26 July 2023. Informed front office that I know the front brakes are bad but need back checked also. After they “inspected”, was told I needed front pads + rotors and the drums only needed a “clean and adjust” per invoice photo. I’ve never heard of drums being cleaned or adjusted so I declined service. Seemed like it was not necessary. Front brakes were overpriced but I wanted them done ASAP so proceeded with service anyway. After work was complete, I kept hearing grinding and knew something was wrong. Took it to another mechanic and lo and behold— Ms D’s tech never even checked my drums. They were so hard to remove and so much brake dust came out when they were removed I KNOW they didn’t even check them to begin with. This could have been a serious problem, thankfully I got the issue fixed elsewhere. Just be aware of techs that are here cutting corners on brake inspections. edited to respond: Service was under a different name. Tina Lane
Horrible! Claimed my car engine was locked up and whole time, went up there myself the next day cause there was no way I believe it and it was just a dead battery! You know how much money they would’ve got from me?! Sad how I had to come and see it myself for them so look and see it wasn’t the engine. And now I got my car back and the didn’t even install the hose properly! It’s not even on correctly! First and last time. Definitely so disappointing.
Please be aware*** Very dishonest. My car was having problems so I took it here to get it looked at. The first red flag is that they charge 197.50 for a diagnostic that is not credited towards fixing your vehicle if you have them fix it. They should get paid for their time but I called around. They are the highest. Even the dealership will do that for 139.00. I was in a bind and should have called around first for sure. They said I needed brakes and rotors. After I got the feeling they were crooks, I took my car somewhere else. Had them do a brake check. They said I needed pads only. After he told me, I shared with him that another shop said I needed rotors. He physically showed me that there aren’t even any grooves or dents in mine at all. They were charging 615.00 for back pads and rotors. I was very clear that I only needed necessary repairs right now yet they still gave me an estimate for 9000.00 in “needed “ repairs. Even if I had needed these things, the other mechanic as well as the gentleman at the auto parts store said that the prices were genuine robbery. I am a business owner so I get all of the things that go into running a business but I have never and would never lie to and cheat people. These people have no integrity.
Had to pay $200 for diagnostics when I already knew what was wrong with the car. Told me my spark plugs needed replaced along with ignition coils, wanted over $800 to do the work. Turns out coil was simply unplugged and only needed spark plug replacement which is nowhere near $800. No you are not supposed to work for free, but I do expect you to do fair honest work along with honest pricing. You charged me $200 just to tell me what I told yall was wrong with the car. Then you want me to pay for a coil replacement that’s simply unplugged? Please dude look at the rest of these reviews, I’m far from the only one. Thank goodness I didn’t let yall work on my car. I just got my car fixed for $350 cheaper than what you quoted. You clearly aren’t doing anything for “free”
I'm sorry, when you replace suspension components like sway bar end links. The nuts don't "just come off sometimes" unless sometimes the mechanic who did the work failed to sometimes forget to sometimes actually put a wrench on them and sometimes turn it to the right until they're sometimes properly tightened. You know you did the work. You know who's vehicle it belongs to. Go ahead and play your game. I'll leave this here for everyone to see.
