⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stopped in for a state inspection on a Saturday with no appointment and was pleasantly surprised by how quick and efficient the entire process was. The staff was friendly, professional, and got my vehicle inspected right away. I was in and out in under 30 minutes, which is almost unheard of for a weekend visit. Great customer service, clean waiting area, and a hassle-free experience. I’ll definitely be back for future inspections. Highly recommend!

I had such a great experience at SpeeDee Oil Change. Nick, Jose, Kelly, Jaleel, and Dallas all worked on my car and were absolutely amazing. Everyone was friendly, professional, and clearly take pride in what they do. Jason, the regional manager, happened to be in town for the day and was also incredibly helpful in talking through decisions and making everything feel straightforward and stress-free. Car maintenance is never really a “fun” task, but it makes a huge difference when you’re dealing with people you can trust. Everyone here was kind, honest, and just genuinely good people. I really appreciated how smooth and comfortable they made the whole experience.

I love this place. I found it two years ago and this is by far the fastest inspection service I’ve ever had. I’ve never had to wait long, truly 15-20 mins max and I’m out the door. They are also so polite and easy to talk to. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

I had an excellent experience at SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service on South Boulevard in Charlotte, NC. DJ was the first person I spoke with, and instead of simply telling me like everyone else, that I needed a new battery, he took the time to dig deeper. He discovered that my alternator was actually draining the battery and clearly explained what needed to be done. His honesty and kindness immediately built my trust. The next day, the manager followed up with a detailed quote, made sure I understood everything, and never pressured me. He even advocated on my behalf to ensure the part arrived on time so my car would be ready when promised, and it was done hours ahead of schedule! That extra time allowed me to handle my rental car, switch my husband cars to pick up our daughter from school, and make it to another event I thought I’d miss. When I arrived to pick up my car, the team was friendly, professional, and transparent. They went above and beyond to try to reduce the cost where they could, given the nature of my car and the repair. They even explained a dashboard light that wasn’t related to the work they did, just to make sure I understood everything about my vehicle. As a woman, I especially appreciated that they treated me with respect and fairness, never talking down to me or changing their tone once my husband arrived. They focused on helping, not selling. I highly recommend this location especially for women who want an auto shop they can truly trust. I would absolutely return for future service!

Jacob was very friendly and helpful, The service here is always top notch. I have never had a bad experience. I have had my brakes and oil done here, work is always done quickly, everyone is always professional, prices are good. I'll keep coming back!

I came in for an oil change, and bought an additional cabin filter replacement. The person who checked me in was super nice. The waiting room was pleasant. Another employee let me know about my tires and brakes and advised me to get replacements (which I politely declined since I wasn't planning on doing that today) and said my car would be done in 10 minutes. I waited an extra hour. That employee totally vanished and didn't follow up with me even after my car was already up front. Nobody was at the front desk. A couple cars were serviced in the bay I was at, while I was still waiting to get my keys. I'm really not a fan of paying fast oil change prices and still waiting over an hour and a half from start to finish like I was at Walmart. Only reason it wasn't longer is that I was able to flag down a totally different employee after he finished with a customer picking up her car. He got my keys quickly. From the other reviews this seems like not a frequent thing on their part. They seem busy and it might be a one off situation. That being said I can't say I'm inclined to go back.

I came in for an oil change on a Saturday and was quoted a 20-30 minute wait. I ended up waiting for over two hours and being late to a wedding. I asked for updates several times and kept being told “five more minutes” or “ten more minutes,” but the wait kept stretching on. At one point, after I’d already waited an hour and a half, staff asked “do you mean 5 minutes or is 10 minutes okay” as if i wanted to wait longer. I wanted it done as fast as possible. The repeated false timelines were more frustrating than the wait itself. I was given a coupon of $20 off my next service which felt useless after paying a lot for an un-speedy oil change. I won’t be returning.

I had a terrible experience today at Speedee Oil Change & Auto Service and I strongly advise others to be very careful. I went in because my car’s AC was not blowing cold air. The employee told me it would cost $150 just to diagnose the issue. The “inspection” took no more than 2 minutes, and I was immediately told that my compressor was bad and needed to be replaced, with a total cost of $1,900. That sounded extremely suspicious and overpriced, so I declined the repair. When I went to pay the $150 diagnostic fee, they charged my card $221 instead. When I questioned this, they gave excuses like “the employee gave you the wrong information” and tried to justify the overcharge. I had to argue to get my money back, which is completely unacceptable. I then took my car to another shop, where they properly checked everything and told me there was NOTHING wrong with the compressor. They simply serviced the AC and added refrigerant. Total cost: $260 — and my AC is now working perfectly. This experience shows a clear lack of honesty, professionalism, and proper diagnosis. They tried to charge me $1,900 for a problem that didn’t even exist. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with an auto shop. I will NEVER go back to Speedee again, and I strongly recommend others avoid this place. They overcharge, misdiagnose problems, and do not treat customers fairly.

I had good experiences here in the past, but something has changed in late 2025. They aligned my car without checking first, and then I noticed the alignment was actually wrong they tried to charge my AGAIN! As best I can tell they basically messed my alignment up and tried to double charge me to fix it. I had previously really liked this shop, but won't be going back any time soon now. Follow-up: I responded to the note below and never heard more.
