About Tropical Car Wash & Brake Tag
Tropical Car Wash & Brake Tag (New Orleans area) does ten-minute brake tags with old-southern-movie charm - enough God-bless-you kindness to steady someone grieving a loss.
The same counter also yells: a Hertz referral got screamed at, and a passenger-side windshield crank became a refusal. Personality-dependent in the extreme. Louisiana brake tags. Rated 3.8 across 106 reviews.

Very quick and efficient! Super nice guy w old southern charm out of a movie! ( I m from the northeast…..). I get flustered in these situations and people usually become impatient! He was wonderful. Conveniently located, too.
It's clean and everything, I used, worked properly.
Wonderful took no time at all hasty process at a fair price
Brake tag took less than 10 mins. The guy was very kind. I'm experiencing a loss very close to me and am having a rough time. The simple "God bless you and your family" really helped me in a way he will never even know ❤️
The local car inspection shop exceeded my expectations! Their efficient service and knowledgeable staff made the process a breeze. Very thorough and professional, they were thorough and quick. Reasonable prices and excellent customer care make them my top choice for brake tags! 🚗🛠️👍
Waste of time... Tell the guy I needed a brake tag. Say he couldn't sell it because there was a crank on the windshield, it was on the passenger side and not on the driver side. I was told from the last person who sold me a brake tag that it was ok as long it was not on the driver side. They guy was rude about it and doesn't explain why he couldn't sell it. Not professional about it and very aggressive when trying to explain to him. Don't come this area.
The guy there is rude for no reason at all. I was sent there by hertz to get an inspection. The guy just started yelling saying they are no longer doing it for them and all kinds of stuff. You would have thought I said something other than "I'm here for an inspection". I normally would not let anyone get away with such rudeness but I was in total shock and did not see it coming. Like what the heck did I do?
I don’t know his name but whoever gives the brake tags is a total prick. He came and approached me, telling me that I could not clean the inside of my car under the bay. Reason for me doing that because it was raining. While I was placing my rims in the car, after washing them, he approached me again telling me to leave, cursing me out and saying the police will be called for trespassing. Side not, there were only two other people there. I was supposedly washing my car for 2 hours stating from him. Him not knowing that I was also cleaning some rims for my other vehicle. I used to wash both of my vehicles there, but not any more. Hope one day he learns how to approach someone with respect.
Pulled up to get a brake tag. Guy at the station came out and checked my rear window tint… never had anyone check the back!!! My front was perfectly fine. He told me my rear was too dark when I have passed at other brake tag stations, dude just didn’t want to do his job that day. Funny part is next station I went to they passed me.
